An atmospheric winter garden, a cosy parlour, a rustic wine cellar – the Stasserwirt in Salzburg Leopoldskron welcomes its guests in these three very different guest areas, all of which are of the highest standard. For hosts, Christian and Alexandra Sussitz, quality is of upmost importance when providing for their guests. An example of this is with the lamb meat, that originates exclusively from Tauern lamb. In addition to this, there are specialities available on the menu, such as creamy risotto with pumpkin and nutmeg and mountain cheese, whole roasted char, with parsley potatoes and garlic butter, or ragout made from deer roaming in the Tauern region, with potato gnocchi and cranberries. The Strasserwirt restaurant uses only fresh produce from the nearby lakes, tasty treats from the garden, or tender meat reared in the local area. In the Strasserwirt restaurant, at the foot of the Festungberg (castle mountains) in Leopoldskronstraße, you can enjoy the fresh creations from the kitchen in a stylish ambiance, or relax in the open air in the garden by the romantic stream.
