Fab location, great service and superb food. The crab cannelloni was devine and washed down by a very nice prosecco. I'll definitely be back!

An interesting restaurant building in the old Town, with window seats offering a good view of Princes Street. It’s a chain restaurant, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food. The fritto misto starter was crisp and packed with seafood and vegetables. My spicy chicken pasta was very tasty. My wife really enjoyed her prawn linguine. Our waitress was brilliant, looking after us attentively.

Welcoming arrival after finding the location just off the royal mile. A very busy atmosphere as during the fringe festival so waiting a little between courses was slightly testing. Food was excellent as was the waitress. Would definitely visit again.

No option but to book for 5.45pm. Waited a long time for simple mains of pizza and very overcooked and measly though expensive king prawn skewer. Waiting staff argued over my order of a glass of prosecco for my 17 year old (totally legal when eating out), saying she needed proof that the drinker was over 25. Manager sorted but my young adults felt embarrassed to be treated like this.
The whole restaurant was full of xmas shoppers naturally, yet the staff hadn't dealt with coats etc so it felt a mess and overcrowded. It took two goes for them to get the bill right despite me telling the manager we had Tesco vouchers on arrival. And they had no Kalhua for a particular cocktail.
Overall, as far as a chain goes, the food is underwhelming, overpriced and staff appear unable to deal with a busy sitting and uninformed on licencing law. I left a decent tip (which I hope stays with waiting staff and not shared with kitchen) because I spent many years as a waitress and I feel these problems lie with poor management and inadequate training.

Good food, lovely setting, waitress seemed very harassed and un organised. She wasn't very welcoming in fact she seemed quite un interested. Other than this we would go back.
