The service was excellent although the restaurant was very busy when we arrived. The food was of a high quality and I would definitely go back again.

With its church setting creating a special atmosphere, Zizzi Cheltenham offers diners a unique experience whilst enjoying the Italian cuisine on the menu. Zizzi also has an upstairs bar.

The Zizzi menu showcases a passion for simple, delicious Italian food, served with an inventive twist. Hand-stretched, thin and crispy rustica pizzas are loaded with inspiring toppings, while salads and pasta dishes feature fresh, seasonal ingredients. Complementing the menu’s rich flavours, the Zizzi wine list brings together a selective stock of international bottles, and inventive cocktails are also on offer.

Specially designed for younger diners, the bambini menu at Zizzi restaurant is filled with tempting Italian dishes. For dessert, opt for a trusty Italian classic like super-smooth gelato or tiramisu, or an inventive seasonal special.

Boasting an al fresco dining area, Zizzi Cheltenham is a 10-minute walk from the Regent Arcade Shopping Centre.

Lovely restaurant, good service, fantastic starter. I didn't think the Crab Cannelloni tasted of much and we were a bit chilly.

Choice of food and quality acceptable for the price and for a multinational chain of restaurants, although we did book online for their special offer otherwise it would have been quite expensive for what you got. We ordered two large bottles of Peroni incredibly expensive. Service by staff accetable nothing outstanding they all seemed a bit flat and tired probably not that contented!! The biggest disappointment from three years ago was lack of atmosphere. This is a wonderful building with fantastic features but they are not shown to their best advantage. In fact they have now put up what I can only describe as fairground lighting up above the diners heads which prevent diners from looking up at the magnificent ceiling and pillars. I can only assume it is to stop people seeing and going up to the mezzanine floor on the next level where they have comfy sofas, a nice bar and further seating. Presumably it's because of the extra cost of staffing the upstairs bar and extra work for waiters going up and down stairs. When all this was open and operating it had a much better atmosphere with nice music of jazz piano and saxophone. It's the same old story when times get a bit tough companies are looking to see where they can save money. The sad thing is at 10 o'clock on Friday night it was nearly empty, when I was there last three years ago it was full and full of atmosphere so perhaps it was false economy of the company to try and cut corners to save money! No incentive to go back.

Left standing by the door on arrival. Given wrong menu (1 menu between 2 people) by waiter. When waitress came to take order she had to look for correct menu and we had to choose all over again. Starters took ages to arrive and food was cold. Mains and pudding OK. Restaurant was very busy with lots of Xmas parties and there weren't enough staff.

In a former church so plenty of height inside which means you can be near other people but don't hear their conversations and voices. Staff were friendly and relaxed. meals arrived in good time. The venue is certainly a winner. Two pizzas, chicken covered in ham and a risotto - all went down the respective throats very happily!
