We were disappointed that the restaurant was so hot. We thought there would be air conditioning. So we opted to eat outside but there wasn't really enough shade for all our table.

Lovely restaurant, we were treated to a bit of sunshine last night so sat outside which was lovely and when it got a little chilly the heaters were turned on.
Food was good - service a little slow, maybe because we were outside

The food wasn't that great, was expensive for what it was.

Worst service ever, we booked a table and when we arrived they just sat us anywhere - what was the point in me booking then. Our 'waitress' clealy didn't want to be there only thing she asked was what we wanted to order and deserts? No check back was done, no additional drinks order - when we all finished our drinks after our starters. They forgot our olives which is a common mistake to make but when I had told the manger she just assumed what we had ordered which we had to step in a say they were the wrong ones so she then got the correct ones and she threw them on the table, then of course said thank you and she just walked off without saying a word - not even a smile. When the food was brought over it was brought by the runner who just chucked it on our table and didn't ask anyone if we wanted anything else or even cheese(as we all got pasta) when I managed to get his attention he went to ignore me then nodded and 'bowled it over.' When our waitress came over to take our desert order we all decided against getting one in the end due to being so full, then she rolled her eyes and took the menus - again no drink orders were taken. When we had asked for the bill we asked the runner as no one else was around he then said 'Yeah no problem' and never came back. I then had to ask the manager who again didn't seem to bothered. Overall lovely food but terrible service. I am very shocked in the service that me and my party received as I have worked in Zizzi's Chelmsford myself and they take pride in their service. Now they have new management it is clear to me that is not a priority anymore.

Very good food and service. Only criticism was that layout of tables felt too close together waitress was squeezing past and both my friend and I are tall and needed leg room. Also you don't want to be on top of other people. I know the restaurant want to maximise on the number of diners but it can be offputting.

The food was amazing! My favourite dish was the main, classic margherita pizza. The garlic bread with caramelised onion was a close second.
The waitress was very smiley and polite, which I noticed she was like with all customers. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, it felt a little cramped to start with, as the tables are quite close together, but once you start eating you don't seem to notice that much. One thing I did see which was a little bothersome, was it looked like someone had pee'd on the floor in the gents toilet.
Overall, definitely will be eating there again.
