Restaurant description

Serving an exotic combination of Northern Indian and Pakistani cuisine, Zayna Restaurant has won high praise from publications such as The Michelin Guide. Set in the heart of Marylebone, this is a plush, relaxing setting, filled with wood carvings and traditional décor.

The Zayna Restaurant menu focuses on time-honoured recipes combined with bold signature tweaks. Only halal meat and chicken is used, with mouthwatering starters including homemade paneer marinated in pickle and cooked in a clay oven. Signature specialities feature treats like juicy king prawns in a rich tomato sauce, and the traditional Punjabi market dish of lamb cooked in a hot wok with ginger, onion and garam masala.

A combination of desserts from the East and West are served at Zayna Restaurant in Marylebone, including bread and butter pudding, and homemade Punjabi ice cream with cardamom, topped with rice noodles. There are also dessert wines to finish off, as well as glasses of champagne.

An authentic taste of Indian and Pakistani dining, Zayna Restaurant is moments from the bustle of Oxford Street, and a minute's walk from Marble Arch Tube Station.

The food was excellent but the attention was poor. They were more interested in bring the check than in providing a good attention.

Visited around three weeks ago. The tastes were very clean and subtle and yet the food also managed to be hearty and delicious overall. The service was reasonably friendly but certainly attentive and efficient. Not the cheapest food around but you get what you pay for especially in tis location and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to go back there again. Very impressed.

We love this place, and when we have the opportunity we make a point of making a side trip to London just to have dinner at Zayna. All the dishes that we've had have been delicious, the sauces flavorful and the meats tender, but the one I must have every time is the Tringa Tarka dal, made with a mixture of three types of lentils.
