Restaurant description

Awarded a Michelin star in its opening year, Yauatcha is a slick Soho hideaway serving modern Chinese delicacies and dim sum. Designed by the acclaimed Christian Liaigre, the dining room features an open kitchen for views of the chefs.

Specialising in small plates and all-day grazing offerings, the Yauatcha menu showcases delicate steamed dim sum, fresh seafood, and sumptuous oriental-style meats. Enjoy favourites like braised Somerset lamb with black pepper sauce, Mongolian-style venison, or jasmine tea-smoked ribs.

Bespoke desserts are crafted with the utmost skill at Yauatcha in Soho, with handmade chocolates and macarons on offer, as well as mandarin macadamia, or a summery raspberry delice. Fruity and cleansing cocktails are mixed using the finest available ingredients, while the drinks list features vintage wines, sakes, and flowering teas. Choose from a delicious range of chocolates, gateaux and macarons at the Yauatcha Patisserie.

A sister restaurant of the celebrated Hakkasan fleet, Yauatcha in London sits 8 minutes’ walk from Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus Tube Stations.

Great decor. Best dim sum in London

Food was nice. Service was fine but not exceptional. For example, several dishes were served before they brought out my tea and I wouldn't necessarily call one of our two waitresses friendly. Overall experience was not up to the prices and Michelin star. We could have eaten similarly good food somewhere else in London for much less.

Yauatcha was great as usual- my friends and I have been going there for years to celebrate birthdays and other occasions. Food is wonderful and I think Venison Pufxfs are my favourite. staff at eent visit were terrific - a delighful Chinese girl, full of smlles served our tables. The decor is fine. My only criticism - the design of Toilets - heavy doors and too dark inside. The mirrors are coated and hard to see your image. Frustrating for ladies atending to their makeup.

I've been desperate to eat at Yauatcha for years and so was really disappointed to find that the Taste of Yauatcha (TOY) Menu offered through Bookatable was really quite underwhelming. The restaurant itself is elegant and well-staffed so service was always sharp and professional, the dim sum served as part of the TOY menu was all of a high quality but not so high as to be discernible from many other dim sum resturants or even chains that I have visited around London previously. Most frustrating of all was that (other than the cheung fun) this menu entails literally only one of each dim sum listed on the menu per person and so it was inevitable that even after a few shared bites of the dessert we were leaving the restaurant £40 down and still hungry. I wish I had known how small the portioning of this menu was going to be as I would have much rather paid more and received advice from the wait staff on portioning between us. Even with a cocktail and pot of tea included in this offer you can't possibly leave feeling it was good value if you are headed straight round the corner to Chinatown to pick up a steamed bun to fill a hole.

High standards of service, quality food, excellent service, can’t say anything bad about it, definitely the place to go to for a lovely romantic high standard meal
