Fabulous venue! And a very welcome rest stop after our tour of the Cathedral. The tearoom is a quiet haven and the service was exemplary.
The portions were not huge; 3 finger sandwiches, small homemade cream scone and tiny piece of sponge cake but all were delicious.
Huge variety of teas to choose from and copious refills offered.
    Definitely a worthwhile visit

Great top ups of tea - didn't expect to have more than one pot each! Food was delicious and it really was great value for money.

I had the afternoon tea and scones. I would have preferred slightly more traditional style. The tea itself was generous and the pot was nice. It would have been nice to have a tablecloth. The waiter was nice- that helped. The scones were very small and not very warm- a bit dry. The tarts were bite sized- very small. It was pleasant- but not the best of teas.

Had a lovely afternoon Tea for 2, great teas and sparkling wine. Not enough sandwiches, and just a cube of Victoria sponge cake. A little overpriced for quantity, but delicious food.

The food was wonderful! We were seated quickly, staff were professional and polite. Waited a little while for food, but they had remembered and catered for my allergy really well and it all tastes fab. Will definitely come back.

My friend and I loved it. It was quiet when we were there. We loved the ambience . The food was good and the champagne. The waitress was very good too. Very happy with everything

Lovely food, helpful staff, surprised the place was empty, only 3 other diners the whole time we were there. Doesn't help there is a cheap cafe outside the door but we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea experience at at pauls

The overall experience was very nice. The advert could do with more photos of the venue itself as I did not completely know what to expect.
The food was very nice and the tea and champagne were great. The room itself was uncomfortably hot, despite the windows being open.

The only complaint that can be made is in relation to the abrupt manner in which we were told we had to leave. We had booked for 15:30 and the room closed at 17:00. We were not given any warning of the time left, for example "just to let you know, we will be closing in half an hour"; we were simply presented with the bill and told that the restaurant was closed. It was a shame as up until that point it had been an enjoyable experience, however this approach lacked, in my opinion, a good deal of etiquette and awareness of customer relations.
