Eight of us had a most excellent lunch. Our only criticism was that there was actually too much food! Service was brilliant - our waitress was very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Altogether a great experience which we will look forward to repeating soon.

I dine at Wol;fe's five or six times a year. Today I had one guest, and had the 2-course special.
We had peppered mackerel starter, I had salmon and prawn main , while my guest had the chicken supreme.
Meals were more than adequate, service excellent.

Generally very good, liver a little over done for my taste. Service excellent but there were very few in for lunch.

Worst dining experience with bad food, bad service and a bad smell in the restaurant. We were having a 3 course meal and the neither the starters or the mains were made from fresh food. We kindly told the staff that we were not satisfied and the didn't do anything about it. At last we said that we did not want the dessert as we were very disappointed. This resulted in a bill on 64£. I cannot recommend anyone to go here and the restaurant had a smell of sewer.

Made us feel very welcome. Food was excellent. Service very good. Special menu for £26.50 included a glass of Prosecco. Varied menu too. 10 out of 10 from our party of 4.

Awful. Worst meal out for 25 years. We booked for the set menu, but they didn't acknowledge that when we turned up and gave us different menus. When I told them they were obviously annoyed about that and lost interest in us. Crab(?) and fish cake starters were okay but just like frozen ones you can buy. Fish with saute potatoes was supposed to be in a light sauce. Fish dry, overcooked and cold. Sauce thick and cold with a skin on. Potatoes cold and more boiled than sauteed. Even though I'd left 3/4 of a dinner the waitress didn't seem concerned. Steaks; one was okay the other was like chewing the rubber on top of a pencil, again half of the steak left, but the waitress wasn't concerned. Almost as if it happened all of the time. 2 Bread and butter puddings were inedible stodge and left on the plate, still no concern from the waitress. Eton mess turned up as strawberries and some cream in a glass. Apple tart was burned and tasteless. Nobody asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. We were due at the theatre and I was with teenagers (one who works as a waitress) so I just paid the bill and left to save their embarrassment. Place could do with a good hoover and clean too. Too many bright, clean excellent restaurants in London to consider this one ever again. Scoff and Banter, Heliot, Hawkesmoor all do deals that are so much better than this place.

A little surprising. Felt like we had been transported back in time. Music was awful, rather play nothing. When we received our burgers we were surprised they didn't come on a bun. Menu didn't mention it. Food ok, nothing to go back for, could have cooked better at home. Good location for New London Theatre.
