The bold, modern Wilder tasting menus are constantly evolving, and use the finest ingredients sourced from the local daily markets. All dishes come imaginatively presented, kicking off with light starters like rye sourdough with carrot butter, and ham hock and gribiche with sweetcorn soup. Booking was easy. Service was very attentive and friendly. Food was superb. Loved the smoked butter and the blackberry mousse with liquorice icecream. It was all delicious. The wine flight was good value and were well paired. A lovely experience.

This little gem tucked away in The Cotswolds was a truly wonderful experience after many weeks of weary traveling. The experience allows one to have the luxury of slowing down and to take ones' time to dine at a leisurely pace, not often experienced in our hectic modern world. The professional yet cheerful server/sommelier was attentive, genuine and yet allowed for enough personal privacy to actually contemplate the chefs preparation and ingredients that went into each course. Each course was nicely presented and creatively prepared, though unfortunately, not memorable. The food while quite excellent, was not as 'sublime' as the service and atmosphere. With a bit more work the Chef might arrive there however. Atmosphere: 8 Service: 10 Food Tastes: 7 Food Creativity: 8 Food Presentation: 7

We had a superb evening with very adventurous food. We were able to give genuine feedback to Mathew on each course which enhanced the whole experience for the four of us. Front of house was expert on the matching wine flutes (we have subsequently bought a case of one) and the service very helpful but perfectly discreet. A great dining experience.

Yes - this was quite unusual for a tiny rural town like Nailsworth in Gloucestershire. Not been offered a tasting menu other than in top restaurants or in cities before.

A true gem - unpretentious genius in a new kind of shared experience. The quality was faultless and the surprises many and delightful. I shall definitely go again.
