Wild Garlic have earned themselves 2 AA Rosettes and a place in the Michelin Guide with their blend of fresh local ingredients, and exciting fusions of British and European flavours. Chic furnishings and garlic pattern wallpaper lend the restaurant a unique and intimate feel.
Chef Matthew Beardshall worked with Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing before opening The Wild Garlic: a modern, stylish restaurant with a wholesome, locally sourced menu. The Wild Garlic Nailsworth tasting menu is a journey through exciting flavours, featuring chicken and ginger broth, confit sea trout with piccalilli and bourbon blackberry and apple.
For a lighter bite, guests can also feast on the tapas menu, a selection of small meat, fish, cheese and salad dishes. All of the food can be washed down with something from the extensive wine and cocktail list.
Wild Garlic is in the pretty town of Nailsworth, a 10-minute drive from Stroud Train Station and town centre.

I enjoyed my butterflied chicken and herb salad starter and the steak main course but I'm glad I was hungry enough to have a dessert as they are all really well thought out at Wild Garlic. I chose the Affogato with extra Pedro Ximinez accompaniment and it was very good. The restaurant is an airy, pleasant room and the staff are always friendly and accommodating if asked for extra information about a dish or ingredients. Certainly one of the better places to eat in the area - recommended for sure.

Absolutely loved our stay. Rooms were contemporary & extremely clean. All staff were extremely pleasant & attentive. The food was amazing. In particular, the Aubergine & Fennel Thai Red Curry & the Crab Linguine! ?? Our 7 year old daughter asked for a second helping of her main course as she had enjoyed it so much!! Stunning location too!

Excellent food - great quality in every small detail. Best roast I've had in a very long time, excellent sides. Everyone commented on the quality of the meal.

The food and service were fantastic ! The plate looked quite small when it arrived but I have to say I went away feeling more than satisfied. My only gripe was we thought we were ordering tap water and complimentary starters but we were charged £8 for 2 bottles of water and another £8/£9 for bread and olives. A bit pricey ! Other than that a very good experience which we would highly recommend.

Great service, they really know their food. And drink! Haven’t visited for years but felt a treat was overdue. It’s a foodie experience not an all you can eat. Portions are perfect, dishes are like art & cant fault the flavours. Started vegan with marinated aubergine, main turbot with dauphinois, dessert tropical coconut arancini. I would have liked little more yoghurt ice cream to balance but it was all a delight.
