Wild Garlic have earned themselves 2 AA Rosettes and a place in the Michelin Guide with their blend of fresh local ingredients, and exciting fusions of British and European flavours. Chic furnishings and garlic pattern wallpaper lend the restaurant a unique and intimate feel.
Chef Matthew Beardshall worked with Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing before opening The Wild Garlic: a modern, stylish restaurant with a wholesome, locally sourced menu. The Wild Garlic Nailsworth tasting menu is a journey through exciting flavours, featuring chicken and ginger broth, confit sea trout with piccalilli and bourbon blackberry and apple.
For a lighter bite, guests can also feast on the tapas menu, a selection of small meat, fish, cheese and salad dishes. All of the food can be washed down with something from the extensive wine and cocktail list.
Wild Garlic is in the pretty town of Nailsworth, a 10-minute drive from Stroud Train Station and town centre.

Environment was lovely, service was great, food was a little disappointing for the price. Had a much nicer meal at another local haunt for the same money.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Reasonable choice on the menu. Good hot calamari with sriracha mayo. The current chef obviously likes their spice.

We had 3 courses for £15 each. The tomato and red pepper gazpacho was packed full of flavour & came with a goat's cheese crostini on the side, delicious. Crab linguine for main and a Courgette & chocolate cake dessert. Not had courgette for pudding before, but it definitely worked, marscapone dollop to accompany it was lush! Drinks a little on the expensive side, so decided to have H2O for two!

Always a good experience at Wild Garlic. This time we went during the govt scheme that was supporting businesses. It was a set menu with 3 choices, with all catered for. Good service and excellent food and wine as always.

Delicious food, innovative menu, imaginatively and beautifully presented. Excellent service. Drinks rather expensive. Exterior of restaurant rather drab but belies a modern interior with clean lines and a calm but welcoming atmosphere.

From the welcoming, experienced staff, to the quality of the food, we thought Wild Garlic was a fabulous restaurant. We loved the way the service was friendly but slick, and even though the restaurant was fully booked there was an air of calm. Loved it, thanks!

Nice restaurant with a good ambience. Limited menu (perhaps due to covid restrictions) children sadly not catered for on the menu although the chef kindly cooked a chicken dish for them. Staff were smart and professional but seemed to lack personality except for one jolly lady whom I took to be the owner? Food was nicely prepared and presented but again, lacked the wow factor. A very pleasant place to eat.
