A short wander away from both the Strand and Soho, the White Swan is tucked away in charming New Row, and is a traditional London serving a delicious menu of classic British dishes in a cosy, welcoming environment. The pub was chosen by crime writer Dorothy L. Sayers for a scene featuring her aristocratic detective, Lord Peter Wimsey.
Since Nicholson’s pubs were first established in 1873, these traditional British inns have become synonymous with warm hospitality, hearty pub food and a speciality range of ales. As well as always featuring British pub classics like beer-battered fish & chips and gammon & eggs, the White Swan menu is complemented by a rotating selection of pie, sausage & chop and fish specials for each season.
The White Swan bar is always stocked with exquisite gins, warming whiskies and fine wines to pair with favourite meals, and there’s always a superb range of seasonal and regional real ales on offer. A constant at the bar is the St Austell-brewed Nicholson’s Pale Ale, made with Cornish Maris Otter malts, and a hand-picked blend of English hops.
The White Swan in Covent Garden is just a 3-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

The restaurant was quite busy but we got our meals within plenty of time and everything as one would expect from a central London pub.

The food was good value for money but the TV was too small to watch the rugby match. they should use bigger screens to show the match.

On arrival the waitress quite rudely stated that they were full and that we didn't have a reservation... A gentleman advised us as we walked out that it was available but the damage was done.. We enjoyed our Thai meal instead that night.. Some things just happen for a reason
