At the popular Corn Exchange, Wahaca Manchester pairs Mexican street food with colourful, contemporary surroundings. Marinated meats, gluten-free tortillas and colourful cocktails all feature, with 2 cocktail bars serving up a wide range of drinks.

All the colour, zing and spice of Mexican street food stalls is crammed into the Wahaca menu. Home-cooked tortilla chips with irresistible lime juice-infused guacamole and tangy salsa are perfect to share over a cocktail, moving on to sharing plates of gluten-free corn tacos, filled with mouth-watering slow-cooked pork shoulder in a signature Yucatecan marinade with spicy pink pickled onions. Quesadillas oozing with melted cheese come with smoky black beans or smoky chipotle chicken, while the scallop and shrimp ceviche is served with fresh tostadas. Other market treats include generously filled burritos, and even toasted cornbread with chipotle honey butter.

The Wahaca drinks menu showcases the finest tequila and mezcal, which also go into their signature cocktails. There are colourful takes on classic recipes, as well as fruity mocktails and Mexican beers. For dessert, diners can enjoy churros with warm melted chocolate, and delicate sorbets.

An exciting blend of Mexican tradition and contemporary twists, Wahaca Manchester is 4 minutes' walk from Manchester Victoria Rail Station.

We had the experience for 2 people. It was delicious. Lots of different dishes that we'd never tried before. The churros with chocolate sauce were amazing! Really quick and friendly service too.

Nice restaurant, pleasant staff and good food. Perfectly fine but a little underwhelmed. Lost of other restaurants offering the same kind of food.

I booked a table for some colleagues and their clients and they said it was an excellent restaurant. Great food and service and they will definitely return. Thank you.

Fast service and friendly staff, we loved this place. Went there with my husband and had a selection of the street food and sides, our favourite was the smoky cauliflower cheese! Our server said he was new but you couldn't tell. They have an awesome range of soft drinks and the music is great!

The food, as always, was delicious. My daughter loved the children's cheese quesadilla option on the children's menu.

My only gripe is that the food comes out as it is ready- totally understandable, but I expected this to be a few minutes apart between my small plates. It was 15 mins between my first small plate and my second which I felt was too long.
