Very friendly staff, excellent service and delicious food and fun cocktails Only negative is that we struggled to fit all the plates on the table, I would suggest serving the tapas style choices on smaller plates. Other than that a great night out. Thanks

VOC Bar.Cocktails.Grill is set in a hidden courtyard just seconds from the bustle of King’s Cross and St Pancras stations. Unique cocktails, hearty grill dishes and a homely, speakeasy-style feel have made VOC a popular city-centre haven since launching in 2009.

Irresistible burgers and steaks lead the VOC menu. Served with chips, discover the ‘Old Smokey’ burger, made from dry-aged Scottish beef with smoked cheese, mayonnaise and salad, or for a vegetarian alternative try the mixed bean falafel pattie in a brioche bun with hummus. From 21-day aged Scottish Highland beef, rib eye, sirloin and fillet steaks are served with a choice of barbecue, blue cheese, peppercorn, or wild mushroom sauce.

The drinks selection at VOC Bar King’s Cross is just as enticing, pairing an impressive range of craft beers with expertly crafted cocktails. Stand-out concoctions include the Boston Flip, which includes bourbon whisked with Madeira wine, black treacle and a hint of absinthe, all emulsified with a whole egg and dusted with cocoa.

Tucked away behind King’s Cross Station, VOC Bar London has an enviable location which puts the whole of the city within easy reach.

Would love to have been able to write a review, as we had heard good things about VOC. But, as the restaurant was actually closed, submitting a review would be somewhat problematic!

Fantastic food! I liked especially scallopes and veal.

    Good service, good food.

Service was good but the food was of poor quality - chicken overcooked (chalky texture) and a lot of the portions were meagre - 4 squares of potato for £6, little shreds of duck for around £7.

As a 20 year old there are very few things I'm unable to do in life, entering your bar however, was one of them. When trying to make a good impression on a date, being refused entry to a bar actually turned out to do a pretty fair job none the less I will not be so keen to come in the future. I'm not a student and was just looking for a good place to sink a few cold ones on a Friday pm, you instead lost out on income and repeat custom.

Lovely restaurant, nice décor etc. Appealing menu, T Bone - best steak ever :) Good choice of wine, vegetable side dishes really different and tasty, service really good, lovely friendly waitress. Would certainly dine here again when in London. A little hard to find being down the alleyway, we did walk straight past initially!

Great little casual café/restaurant in-between Euston and Kings Cross stations. Very good freshly made burgers and fries with excellent service thrown in.

I really enjoyed our evening at VOC bar and restaurant. We spent a few hours in the bar, the atmosphere, cocktails and service was amazing. Thanks especially to Ben who works in the bar, he is an absolute star!

The food at the restaurant at was lovely, the patatas bravas and garlic prawns were my favourites. I will definitely visit again and have already recommended to friends. Thanks for a fabulous evening!
