Opened around the 10-year anniversary of the original Farringdon restaurant, Vinoteca King’s Cross is the fifth branch of the award-winning group of wine bars, restaurants and wine shops. Led by Head Chef Ctibor Jurika, this wine-focused restaurant offers a suggested wine pairing with every dish.

Vinoteca in King’s Cross boasts several striking features, namely imposing pillars at the restaurant front, and a 20-foot, horseshoe-shaped zinc bar, which acts as a stunning focal point. It is also the first Vinoteca to serve breakfast, which can be enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the King’s Boulevard.

Over 200 wines are on offer in bottles, on tap, and in a keg and box. The Mediterranean-influenced Vinoteca menu features seasonal, rustic dishes, such as Windsor Farm pork belly with celeriac and apple remoulade, and the ever-popular marinated bavette with watercress and horseradish chips. The desserts include a honey and walnut semifreddo, and chocolate truffles.

Vinoteca King's Cross is a 4-minute walk from King’s Cross Station.

Really lovely restaurant, attentive service and original food. It was busy and we had 4 kids on a Friday night but they accommodated us with a smile.

Great wine selection but expensive unless you're coming on Sunday and Monday when bottles are charged at wine shop prices. Accommodating service from friendly staff but very busy and crowded so a long wait to get served and then for a meal to arrive. Food fairly pedestrian but cooking has never been their USP.

I amended table numbers three times and the time of dining. Even so the staff could not have been more helpful and stored some bags for us whilst we dined. Food was good and finding Gavi de Gavi on the wine menu a plus :). The only negative, I bought a bottle of wine when I first arrived and 12.5% was added to the bill even if it was only me on the table at that point and only a bottle with 4 glasses.

Loved the bavette steak - such a reliable dish and the main reason I go to any Vinoteca. But it's also a super atmosphere and a great place to hangout waiting for a train, rather than the train concourse.

Lovely place, good atmosphere and great selection of wines.
We were there on Monday and took advantage of shop value wines at the restaurant

Disappointing. Initially service was prompt but then was very slow. Set lunch menu was poor, despite it was the set menu the starters one with the salmon and another with the beef were small, although the soup was good. Main meal of cod and salmon fish cake poor, little flavour tough outer breadcrumbs. The dish of the day was recommended but was not reminded that it was not in the fixed menu, expensive for what it was £18. House wine, from a box, was okay, lots of other choices available but more expensive. Desserts about a single dessert-spoon size, which they had forgotten. Didn't want to wait for coffee. We should have reduced the 'optional' service.
Kings Cross is a good area and better eating places than this was today.

    Tapas was great.

The food was very good but we were a bit perturbed that the menu did not specify which dishes involved nuts. We had two nut allergy people with us and one of them was served a dish which clearly had nuts in the sauce. It was also very busy and our waiter seemed a bit flustered. I expected more!
