A stylish blend of bistro and wine bar with an inviting al fresco terrace, Vinoteca City is home to an acclaimed choice of over 200 wines, which are complemented by a gourmet menu of British and European flavours. Popular brunches are served at the weekends.

The Vinoteca menu is built around its acclaimed wine list, with a tremendous selection of vintages from around the globe, ranging from the well known to the rare. Seasonal dishes perfectly complement the wines, with light bites including Mersea Island rock oysters, artisan cheeses and charcuterie. Pick from indulgent mains like roast spatchcock chicken with purple sprouting broccoli and Romesco sauce, or go for Mediterranean influences such as the vegetarian woodland mushroom and parmesan risotto.

Alongside the extensive cheese menu, there are all kinds of sweet treats for pudding at Vinoteca in the City of London, including strawberry Bakewell tart and warm cream, as well as a selection of dessert wines. Kids also get their own menus too.

A chic bistro and wine bar, Vinoteca City is a popular restaurant in London for wine lovers. Canon Street Tube Station is less than a minute's walk away.

Very busy and louder than expected. Suitable in my view to a business lunch or dinner if you want to be next to the train station.

A group of 4 of us had dinner and we had a fantastic time. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and fun and also very efficient and helpful.
The location of the restaurant was fabulous and there was a nice buzz in the air. Not too loud but not quiet and boring either, just perfect environment for us.
We will defo be back again soon. Thank you Vinoteca, we had a great time :)

Impeccable service and the food was brilliant. Shazy interior which works perfectly as a cool wine bar/restaurant.

I’ve eaten here before and really enjoyed it, this visit was disappointing. I ordered monkfish. It was a very small that was dry and with no sauce despite the description saying there was a lemon butter sauce. The accompanying potato’s were undercooked and hard. I ordered a side of cabbage with confit of shallots. I got plain boiled cabbage. When I spoke to the waitress the feedback from the kitchen was the shallots wee in there....essentially disputing mynpolite feedback. They weren’t, shallots have a distinct flavour and a confit if shallots would provide a favour/extra moisture to the cabbage. I had boiled cabbage with no seasoning or any other flavour. She did eventually bring s separate ramekin after I challenged the feedback which helped but I don’t expect to mix up my own cabbage after a debate about my feedback. She also brought extra lemon butter Sancerre which helped the monkfish. Regardless very disappointing food, especially for the price point.

We love the food and the wine selection. The waiters are also always very friendly.

Second time eating at this restaurant and the experience was very good on both occasions. Good service, good quality food at reasonable prices and on this occasion, a very decent Sunday roast. Good wine too! Will visit again when in the City.

Service - very average, although the food was pretty good. Their starters/nibbles are a little overpriced for the size of the portion. Wine list is impressive. I guess our expectations were a little too high for this place !
