Walking into Valentino's in Cardiff is like walking into a large, traditional Italian house; wooden floors reflect soft, ambient lighting and classic Italian colour schemes add a subtle flair to the surroundings. Dishes are prepared using only the freshest ingredients and the best Italian olive oil. Start with a classic antipasti misto then select from well-conceived versions of traditional dishes such as Vitello Milanese or Pollo Al Pepe. Vegetarians are spoilt for choice and there is also a wide selection of traditional pizzas and pastas. With an average price for a three-course meal coming in at around £25 per person, this could be an offer you can't refuse.

We dined at 7pm and could therefore take advantage of the 2 course pre-theatre option which offers great value for money, although (obviously) a much more limited choice than the ala carte menu. Service was friendly and quick. We arrived about 20 minutes before everyone else on the "pre-theatre" option left (we were not going to the theatre and had simply arrived at 7pm) so were left sat in the middle of an empty restaurant, which left little atmosphere. However, staff were pleasant, premises are pleasant, if decor is a little tired. Food was acceptable although sauces quite over powering, and veg luke warm. Still, enjoyable and would visit again

we dined in the evening for my husbands birthday. it was very busy and had a delay waiting for our table, we ordered a glass of wine while we waited and were given them on the house . we both ordered steak and they were cooked to perfection.would recommend this restaurant to anyone. a wonderful experience.

excellent food, excellent atmosphere, excellent service. spoiled a bit by the presence of a party of drunk male rugby fans singing loudly and trying to get everyone else to join in.
