I have been to Tyddyn Llan many times and as always everything -food, Service, surroundings- was spot on. The only disappointment was the fact that a 10% gratuity was added to the bill. I always give a 10% tip, but to see it already included really left a sour taste in my mouth. Although the service was extremely good, I believe it is up to the customer to decide what they want to give, and not for the establishment to assume what they think it is worth.

The whole dining experience at Tydyyn Llan is first class from beginning to end. The food itself is simply outstanding.

This was our first visit. The hotel is in a peaceful country setting with well tended mature gardens. A warm welcome was followed by pre-lunch drinks and a nice range of canapes. Sunday lunch comprised a choice of around 10 starters and six or seven mains, some of which were traditional but most of which were inventive. We had a pasta starter and a grouse starter followed by a roast beef and a hake main course. All were perfectly cooked and presented together with excellent accompaniments/sauces as appropriate. We could not managed desserts although the choice looked very attractive. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. The service was prompt and pleasant. We look forward to our next visit.
