Excellent meal as always. Food tasty and the roast potatoes are to die for! Great to be able to choose how many courses rather than a set 3 course Sunday lunch

Holder of a Michelin Bib Gourmand and 2 AA Rosettes, Twelve in Thornton Cleveleys has earned a stellar reputation for its modern British food and classic cocktails. Sitting directly beneath one of the tallest working windmills in Europe, the contemporary décor provides a chic contrast to its surroundings.

Led by local and seasonal produce, the Twelve restaurant menu is packed with flavour. To start, try a pheasant terrine with caramelised walnuts and compressed apple, or the warming butternut squash soup with chilli crème fraiche. Amongst the mains, discover slow-cooked blade of beef with mash and roasted purple carrot, grilled hake with buttered spinach, steamed mussels and chive velouté, or sweet potato and spinach risotto with an onion bhaji.

Twelve Blackpool epitomises contemporary chic, with exposed brick walls, wooden flooring, and chic white furniture. With pop art prints and casual seating, the laid-back bar area serves up a range of timelessly elegant cocktails.

A glamorous seaside retreat, Twelve restaurant inLancashire is just a 5-minute drive from the coast. Central Blackpool is 20 minutes away.

As always, we received excellent service. The food always feels thoughtfully prepared and well balanced. The drinks were of good quality and great value for money
Always enjoy visiting and would always recommend!

Disappointing, we went off the market menu which appeared to be reasonable value, my cauliflower soup was very tasty although a bit too rich in cream, and lacked any textures. It was more like a savoury custard and would have benefitted from some evidence of cauliflower florets. The accompanying ‘onion bhaji’ unfortunately was also uninspiring, being some soft onion rings floating around the surface.
Main course was supposedly pressed shoulder of lamb, but it resembled the texture of a corned beef patty, closer to pulled pork, shaped, then either roasted or fried. Certainly nothing like boned and rolled shoulder of lamb that I have experienced elsewhere. I am not sure what the chef was hoping to achieve, but it didn’t work for me I’m afraid. My wife’s choice of Monkfish from the al la carte’ menu was fine, no problems there. Service was polite, and efficient, the ambience is very pleasant, and was very busy, (Friday night). Wines were somewhat overpriced. Not sure if I would recommend this restaurant to friends, as it would depend on the market menu selection which may or may not be better.

A very mixed bag. Cocktails: mojito quite nice, but there was so much ice and tonic in the rhubarb and ginger gin that I couldn't taste it. The place is lovely, which makes the uncomfortable plastic chairs incomprehensible. Starters (beetroot with caramelised walnuts and asparagus and bean salad) both very nice, as was the bread. My main of lamb was nice (gorgeous, soft lamb), but it needed more sauce and the last few mouthfuls were very dry. The deer was very nicely cooked, but there was no taste whatsoever of liquorice (great for me as I can't stand it, but very disappointing for my girlfriend, who loves it). The desserts (mango cheesecake and strawbery tart) were both very nice. The service started slowly, but thereafter was good.

The minute you enter you are greeted by the friendly staff who cannot do enough for you. Take your coat, bring drinks to your table and we haven't even ordered yet. The staff take the time to explain the dishes which was so helpful.

The atmosphere is welcoming, this is important when eating out. Drinks taken to your table for you, food order taken and nothing seems to much trouble for the smiley staff.

The food itself is outstanding, the 4 of us had different dishes and each one was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. After we had eaten, we sat at the table with our drinks with no pressure to move out to the bar area as can happen in some restaurants.

All in all it's a great place to eat and drink. From arriving at 7.30pm to leaving at 12.15am the service is beyond reproach.

I would give Twelve restaurant 6 stars if I could, keep up the great service & food.

Superb value Sunday Lunch. 3 courses £22.00. Friendly and attentive staff. Food excellent, beautifully cooked, crispy roasties, al dente vegetables, and tasty beef gravy. Highly recommended.

First visit to this establishment. Booking on line very handy, serving staff very polite, chatt second to none! Food very good but would benefit from a little more colour on certain dishes(coloured veg) as meal looked plain but was very tasty. Will go again and eat from A La Carte menu. Very good value for money.
