This Restaurant is amazing! Food is unbelievably tasty, and the cocktails are wild. Good atmosphere, great staff. You can't ask for more.

Offering an urban spin on traditional Caribbean dining, Turtle Bay Bristol evokes a summery, carnival-style vibe all year round, right in the centre of the city. Serving Jamaican classics and moreish street food, the ultra-colourful dining room features a quirky beach-hut-style bar, a corrugated metal ceiling, and cool tables constructed from Red Stripe bottle tops.

The deliciously fresh Turtle Bay menu includes highlights such as chilli-fried squid with mango mole, fresh lime & coriander mayo, slow roast pulled jerk pork with fresh butternut squash, mango, orange & coconut shavings, and Blue Mountain curry goat with carrots, rice & peas, sweet onion chutney & grilled flatbread.

Complement your meal with a mouth-watering dessert, like the spiced chocolate pot with orange zest, coconut shavings & coconut ice cream. Invoke summer by sipping on one of Turtle Bay’s refreshing cocktails, such as the Marley Mojito, with Appleton Special rum, midori, fresh mint, watermelon & home-made ginger beer.

Situated on Broad Quay on the harbourside, Turtle Bay - Bristol is a 4-minute drive from Bristol Temple Meads Rail Station. The world-famous Bristol Old Vic is just a 2-minute stroll away.

The food was gd but the waitress was extremely rude. We were asked to leave 5mins after eating desert as they wanted out table when there were empty tables. The waitress shouted at us that we were the worse customers she had ever had without just cause as we had at no point said nothing or done anything. Her whole body language was stressed and filled with attitude towards us. The manager said maybe we had not jelled well. I dont go to a restaurant to jell with the staff. I go for a pleasant meal and expect complete politeness and they are suppose to make our evening enjoyable. I would not want to eat there again. I have eaten in alot of restaurants and never been shouted at by a member of staff like that for no reason. She spilt food on us took drinks that I hadnt finished gave us the bill without asking if we wanted desert, however none of these things were down to us yet she verbally attacked us. An experience I never want to have again. A big disapointment. This waitress should learn to b nice to their customers as without us she doesnt get paid. Shame as the food was gd but very let down.

Arrived at restaurant and were expected, the staff were courteous and friendly. The food arrived promptly after we ordered. The only small criticism is that it is a West Indian themed restaurant, the music that was playing was not audible from all parts of the premises. An enjoyable evening and we would be glad to go back.

The waiting staff didn't make it seem like they were rushing us until there were others who had been waiting for the table. We didn't realise but the waitress addressed us in a way that didn't make us feel bad about it. The food was lovely and the place had a fun, bustling atmosphere. I really enjoyed my evening!

Booked for 7.15. Arrived at 7.05 and was seated immediately at our table. Waiting staff were attentive and friendly. Food was served promptly and piping hot considering restaurant was very busy. Food was delicious and I loved the jerk ribs spices. 3 rd visit. Will come again.

We arrived 10 minutes before the booked table time. The restaurant was very busy as this was a Friday night. The noise level in the restaurant was extremely high. We were told that although it was busy, they were running to time and out table would be ready soon. We were invited to buy drinks ,tell the sitter where we would be and he would come and get us in 10-15 minutes. My son noted during the time we were waiting, people arriving after us were being seated before us, Nearly 30 minutes after the booked table time I was about to ask about it when we were shown to a table. We were told had been specially selected for us as it was somewhere a bit quieter. Our waiter came and introduced himself. He was very pleasant. We had already made our choices so we ordered straight away. Our shared starter and some drinks arrived quite promptly however, the water requested didn't arrive so I asked the waiter who brought our food for that. We then waited over an hour for our main course. We noticed people who had been seated after us had been served before us. A couple next to us had arrived ordered and left before we had finished our main course. Our waiter, Ash noticed that we had been waiting a long time and apologised. He offered to take 25% of our bill because of the long wait which we were happy with. The food arrived but sadly by this time two of us had lost our appetite. However, we did enjoy the food we had and the subsequent desserts and cocktails. I accept they were very busy and that under the circumstances did their best, especially our waiter Ash who was very apologetic. Unfortunately, this was a special birthday meal for my son. In my booking I had requested some attention be paid to this. If requests can't be fulfilled, then the customer should be told that, rather than the request ignored. My sons are very keen on this restaurant but I was rather disappointed. A special evening which, sadly I felt, ended up not being so special.
