Great food and brilliantly presented. The Tiramisu martini was to die for

My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food we had there - great to have a local Japanese restaurant round the corner instead of heading to Soho. Nice setting, nice service (a bit slow at times but being a Sunday it s not so much of a big deal) and decently priced. We will definitely go again

Nice space and decor. Sushi was good, but not mind blowing, portions super-tiny and expensive, service appalling

Food was nothing special and certainly not worth the money. Staff were ok but didn't help when choosing dishes. Wasn't horrific but I was excited to go so ended up very disappointed.

I love Tsunami. This was the very reason why i chose to celebrate my friend's birthday (6 of us) here last evening. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was perfect and we had a fantastic time. However, what really tainted our experience was our waiter. When he first came to introduced himself, we had a hard time understanding him and he was very pushy and kept asking us if we wanted to order drinks or starters (at least 3 times) even though we told him on every occasion that we want to wait for the table to be seated before ordering. The worst part was when he came to clear our plates. These were his actual words to us, after asking how our meal was, "Was my service good? If you liked it, please give me a service tip at the end". We all thought he meant a "survey" but we were so wrong. When the bill arrived, he crept up behind my friend, pointed at the Gratuity line (which was a hefty £27) and said the same thing again! What is this nonsense?! We had the best time enjoying Tsunami's food and drinks and this waiter made it all about him when this was my friend's birthday celebration! I have never been asked directly to tip by the service staff and we were so put off and disgusted by his attitude that at one point, we were considering NOT paying the gratuity at all! This is really bad behaviour and for the sake of Tsunami's reputation, I urge you to have a word with this person (he said he's Spanish from Malaga/Marbella) who served us on Monday, 30th May 2016, from 7.30pm onwards. Horrid.

Lovely Experience - Great food!

Firstly, the food was great. but the following let Tsunami down:
1) the table - which was next to the kitchen and really too close to the next table. the restaurant was not busy and there were other (better) spare tables in the restaurant,
2) the service - was mixed. one guy was ok, the other i couldn't understand at all which made ordering (correctly) a difficult and not entirely successful process. I also found him a little rude, but i guess that could've derived from the communication issues. the service in general was a little slow. For instance we wanted to order more drinks and maybe some more food - so don't wait 5 mins while you make the drinks before bringing the food menu. the couple seated way too close had to wait an age for their main course.
these seem like little things, but they are important to the overall experience; most importantly they are dead easy to fix.
But great food though
