Awarded a Michelin Star in September 2012, Trishna is widely acknowledged as one of the best seafood restaurants in the world. Found in the heart of London's upmarket Marylebone Village, Trishna delivers an innovative twist on the coastal cuisine of south west India.

Using only the best seasonal British ingredients, the Trishna menu features innovative, flavoursome dishes like Nandu soft shell crab with white crab chutney, or lobster Teen Tarike Se with a lobster kathi roll, and a lobster samosa. Trishna in London is the sister restaurant of celebrated Gymkhana, one of the most highly regarded Indian restaurants in London.

Trishna in Marylebone offers a wine list filled with carefully sourced bottles - including some new Indian bins - with inspired pairings compiled by resident sommelier Sunaina Sethi. Refreshing mixes come in the form of rare spiced teas and vibrant Indian-themed cocktail.

Reclaimed timber panelling, bronze-studded walls and antique brass lighting feature in the atmospheric dining room. Featured in The Good Food Guide and the Via Michelin Guide, Trishna restaurant is found 8 minutes’ walk from Bond Street Tube Station. Trishna also offers private dining for up to 12 guests.

It was my partner's birthday. We're both fans of fish restaurants, so I thought that Trishna sounded an intriguing mix of Indian cuisine and our love of fish. Trishna didn't disappoint; the service was swift and professional and the food was exceptional. The staff were both friendly and knowledgeable; most of the dishes were new to us and we felt we could ask for further information. The sommelier was excellent, too. I had a wonderful hake curry and my partner had a seafood biryani. My only regret was that I couldn't finish it all . Next time I go , I will refrain from eating for the whole of the day so that I have room!

Food is excellent. And thoroughly recommend; Only criticism is that they should use less salt and sugar.

Fine indian dining in a great setting. The 5 courses tasting menu is unforgettable. More forgettable is the service not on the standards of a star restaurant.

Food is delicious. Not served especially hot temperature wise which meant we left a lot of delicious sauces, potatoes and so on as they were cold. The waiting staff are chilly rather than charming (no eye contact) and the waiter topping up water glasses never failed to spill some. The room is very small and pretty with wood panels and old glass but doesn't have much ambience. No tablecloths, formica tops but none of the Mumbai brio of Dishoom, for instance. Not sure I would bother to make the detour to Marylebone again to dine here but I did see various deliveroo drivers in the tiny reception so if you live in the area that would be a good option.
