The overall service was great, everything came on time and the staff were very attentive. I particularly enjoyed the cod cheeks starter however, I almost broke a tooth on a tiny piece of what looked like either bone or glass in my pork collar main course. So that was disappointing.

To use Marcus Waring’s terminology, it was not quite “fine dining”. But as we were in a special deal of £28 for 3 courses, including a (very acidic) cocktail, you get what you pay for, and it was OK. The crunchy honeycomb pudding was the only pudding worth having. The waiter was delightful, very kind and helpful. And overall we had a very happy evening.

The food was amazing, but the service wasn't great. Servers seemed miserable, constantly leaned across us to top up water, and failed to bring ordered drinks - our welcome cocktails arrived after starters!

Overall rather disappointing. We ate on the special deal @ £28.00 per head with a cocktail thrown in. Having experienced many such deals before we weren’t expecting big portions or a huge choice but we were expecting quality. Unfortunately this was not consistent. My husband’s starter of lamb was very odd - dry and somewhat chewy and my main pork dish was similar - tasty but over cooked. I had a fish starter and my husband a fish main and they were both pleasant so perhaps the answer is to stick with fish and not meat! The desserts were lovely and the service good. I was rather concerned when we were ushered down to the basement but it was quite busy so the ambiance was fine. I just feel that for a restaurant with such a well known name it was very underwhelming. To be honest - for a chef that holds a position as a judge on “Masterchef - The Professionals” - he could do with taking some advice from the people he picks holes in on that program as many of their dishes look more appetising than the ones we had in his restaurant. I rather wished that instead we had eaten in one of the many small, cozy looking places I had passed in Soho on my way there.

4 to Dine, 2 were very happy, everything was perfect for them. My course was suppose to served hot, it was cold, including the plate, although it was very tasty, the meat was a bit chewy in one corner. Other went for the vegetarian main course option, found it was stringy and very bland. Staff were very attentive restaurant slight dark going to gloomy - could not read the menu - lack of light.

A bit disappointed with the overall experience. A lot of waiting, then various courses arrived together. The menu was different from the one published on Bookatable. Food was generally bland. The environment wasn’t to our taste and looked like an old style kitchen surrounded by small white tiles. However the main waitress was lovely. Overall too expensive for the experience

From the moment we arrived, the service we received was fantastic. We had a beautiful cocktail (sloe sour) at the bar before being taken upto our table. The staff were attentive without being over bearing, the ambience was perfect and the food was amazing & Excellent value for money! Cannot wait to return.
