From the team behind Marcus Wareing’s fleet of restaurants, Tredwells in Covent Garden delivers contemporary British cooking in a relaxed, neighbourhood dining room. Winner of AA's Restaurant of the Year - London, delicious cocktails join fresh, seasonal produce in a restaurant that’s clearly proud of its location at the heart of the capital.

Amongst the tempting starters on the Tredwells restaurant menu is harissa-glazed aubergine with peanuts, coriander and chilli. Main dishes are rich in flavour and whilst the menu continues to evolve, items such as the Chateaubriand have become instant classics.

From the plush leather seating or metal bar stools, enjoy London-themed cocktails, world wines and craft beers. Tredwells also hosts live piano every Sunday.

Tredwells in London sits amidst the trendy bustle of Seven Dials, and is just a 2-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station.

We sat at the bar with a silent pool gin and tonic and a glass of red wine chatting with the bar staff. This really set us in the mood for our meal. The atmosphere was really vibrant and relaxed and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. This our third time at Tredwells and as before the food was just perfect. our steaks were cooked to perfection and the grilled broccoli was amazing.

We were very disappointed with our meal. We had told them on booking that we were going to the theatre and my husband told them again on arrival. The service was very slow and consequently we did not have time for dessert. My husbands portion of monkish was meagre. It was an end tail with hardly any fish and all bone. When my Husband spoke to the waiter about this he was told that monkfish was very expensive at this time of year. Maybe they should remove monkfish from their menu if they can only provide a tail bone end with hardly any fish on it. The following day we realised that They only took £4 off the total cost which for a £29 charge was very disappointing. My Husband does not have a very big appetite but came away hungry. By this time we were running late and didn’t have time to discuss further. We Would most definitely not be eating here again. Extremely disappointing birthday for me.

We had the set pre-theatre meal. The sea bream replacement for the pollack was very good. The single chuck meatball lacked taste and insufficient. £11 for two portions of chips was a bit steep.
