We were there for a pre show dinner because of the location. The atmosphere was like an upscale pub. The food choices were minimal but satisfactory. The artichoke flatbread was wonderful and service was timely and good.

The setting was lovely for a pre- Christmas meet up with a friend. The service and food started off very well but unfortunately but the end of the experience I was disappointed and sure I wouldn’t return. Dessert wasn’t fresh and was over mirxorwaves but this was dealt with very well but our server. However when it came to the matter of our free cocktail the service completely fell apart. The cocktail is not named on the menu despite the fact that there is only one on offer. We made our way up to the roof top to discover it was a gin cocktail, but my friend is not a gin drinker. Our server repeated the ingredients rather than offering an alternative. We left and asked to speak to the manger back downstairs who didn’t let me finish my sentence, was extremely patronising and laughed in my face. This is not what I’d expect from a high-end hotel and restaurant. I was left feeling belittled and like because I was a pregnant woman (despite my complaint was for me friend) that my comments weren’t valid.

The food was really enjoyable (Bubble and Squeak especially) but the service was slow and disjointed. The restaurant wasn't that busy so it is slightly worrying that the service was lapse. Example of this was that we asked several times for some extra chips and they still never turned up, drinks were delayed etc.

Service was not very good and it was not busy. I could smell burning oil before my steak arrived at my table. When the steak arrived, it tasted like it was burnt, because of the oil. Our starters and desserts were lovely. The other diners enjoyed their food.

The food was wonderful and the portion sizes were good. We had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. We also had a cocktail on the roof bar with great views over Trafalgar Square. The service was attentive without being intrusive.

Excellent food, service and wine choice. Roof top bar outstanding with views of the London Eye and The Shard. We had an exceptional lunch, beautifully prepared and served. Excellent value for money would definitely recommend.
