Located in the heart of South Kensington, the Town House restaurant & bar is an all-day dining haven, accessed through its own discreet entrance on Manson Place. While away an afternoon over a delicious classic afternoon tea or sip exquisite cocktails at the adjacent K Bar.

Head chef Adi Mandokhot has created a menu to match all tastes where the emphasis is on fresh produce focusing on the seasons, balanced with its hand-picked wine list with something for everyone.

Designed by Alexander Waterworth, the interiors reflect the building's natural charm and old English Town House aesthetic, with a specially-curated library also adding to the charm. The Town House’s period rooms – consisting of 3 beautiful interconnecting spaces - of what were once individual Regency style townhouses, feature bay windows, working fireplaces, parquet floors and original art.

Launched in February 2016, K Bar is inspired by the sophisticated atmosphere of a gentlemen's club. Deep grained oak panelling lines the space which is softened by racing green and royal blue upholstery. An impressive bar front with leather panelling and a rich green marble top accompanies a polished brass back bar display and bespoke wine fridges. Bar Manager Ben Manchester, has put together a cocktail list with unique recipes created to demonstrate how food and drink go so well together.

South Kensington Tube Station is a 5-minute walk away.

Staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to make the whole Beauty & The Beast experience so much more appreciative. Attention to detail in terms of venue and way food was presented was excellent. What’s more, the afternoon tea all tastes absolutely delicious. Was definitely worth the visit as a birthday celebration for my mum and I, plus the finishing of my exams. Thank you!

I could not recommend the Tale As Old As Time afternoon tea more. The food was beautiful and the decor of the Town House was just as lovely. The service was brilliant and we did not feel rushed in the slightest. Due to allergies and intolerances, some of our party could not eat certain foods but the staff were so accommodating to this and provided amazing alternatives that meant that we could still enjoy the theme of the afternoon tea. Overall, my experience was brilliant and I highly recommend going.

The overall experience was good, they had props which was nice. However, we were not told we had a 2 hour seating and had to rush our remaining cakes with 15 minutes before we had to return the table. In my opinion, 2 hours is not long enough to enjoy afternoon tea which was nice apart from the rush at the end.

we came and did the Beauty and The Beast afternoon Tea Party which to be honest i was very dissappointed. I paid for my daughter and myself to come as a gift because she loves Disney and especially Beauty and The Beast. We were shown to our table which had cutlery, napkin, glasses little glass vase with red rose in and blue and white stripe cup with saucer, nothing on the table apart from a cookie decorated like Belle dress to say it was Beauty and The Beast Theme then spotted a rose in a glass on a plate under a glass dome not very eye catching. no music from the film playing in the back ground.. we were given 3 appartisers ( which were very nice) then after we were brought a 3tier cake stand with our food (mixed reviews on that) on top tier had chips and mrs pots was brought to the table with cream in, then few other props were brought to the table for pictures to be taken then removed as they didnt have enough for all tables. myseld and my daughter were really looking forward to this but left feeling a bit disheartened.
we thought music in the background would have been from the film, tables would have been laid with chip, mrs pots, cogsworth, lumiere on them.. just made it like it wasnt just an ordinary afternoon tea.. the staff however were very polite and lovely

Absolutely fantastic food, lovely area to sit in and the table decorations were brilliant. The waiting staff were on redibly dilligent and helpful, even arranging to table to take some lovely photos for us. I particularly enjoyed the venison pie starter, chocolate sauce with brioche baquette, salmon sandwich and Cogsworth chocolate tort. All in all it was a great experience.
