We visited on Sunday afternoon. It was very busy but we didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated. I was very disappointed that we obviously picked the wrong time. I had the turkey, which was the last portion and was extremely dry. I also had the beef which was at the end of the joint. Unfortunately I have had cancer of the throat and have to be careful with swallowing. I asked the waitress for a glass of water. Unfortunately a piece of bed got stuck in my throat and I chocked and couldn’t breathe it has blocked my airway. My husband did manage to hit my back and dislodged it. In hindsight I should have just had vegetables but was looking forward to a full y point being that maybe they should discard it when it gets that low. Apart from that I managed to finish my meal albeit very shakily. Having said all that the waitress was very pleasant. The garlic bread is second to none and always have it.

As always it was a very pleasurable experience. The staff are always friendly & nothing is to much trouble. I have had an accident & use a frame at the moment to assist me walking & always get a table on the flat. It's a shame more people don't use the same method of staff training as they will always have a laugh & joke with the customers. The carvery is always good & good value for money
