Serving up succulent carvery roast dinners with all the trimmings, Toby Carvery Old Forge is a wonderfully comfortable, easy-going and family-friendly pub. There are separate children's menus, and a selection of beers, wines and spirits at the bar.
Featuring classic British roasts every day of the week, the Toby Carvery menu is renowned for its crowd-pleasing selection. Choose from juicy, slow-cooked meats, seasonal vegetables and hand-ruffled potatoes (with each one checked to make sure it’s gorgeously crispy). Tempting alternatives at this Toby Carvery in Stevenage include allotment pie, and salmon with coriander and lime, while a varied vegetarian range includes the broccoli & brie parcel.
Old-school puddings are always on offer at Toby Carvery pubs, with famous signature crumbles served alongside chocolate & cherry torte, and baked vanilla cheesecake. The drinks list features beers, ciders, wines and soft drinks, and full-works, all-you-can-eat breakfasts are served each day.
A great example of simple British tradition, Toby Carvery Old Forge is a 4-minute drive from Stevenage Rail Station.

It's a bit chaotic in terms of seating, number of diners etc. The que for the carvery was about 50 long and by the time we got to the front the turkey had run out and would be another 25 minute wait.

Took my sister for Sunday roast and could not fault it. No room for pudding!

Very polite staff
However there was no cutlery on the table we had to ask for it and the chair my little boy was sat on was broken.
The food though was very tasty and we all left feeling happy

We had a beautiful meal. With lovely tender turkey and well cooked veg..was very happy about the overall meal..the only thing that spoiled it was peoples unacceptable behaviour and lack of respect for other families trying to enjoy a nice family meal. Staff were lovely and helpful too. Nice place to eat.

Very good overall. There were slight delays in being welcomed and in being served. The meal (pork) was most appetizing except for the bread sauce which was not at all appealing.
