Restaurant description

A stone-built pub with a classically comfy feel inside, Toby Carvery Horsforth is moments from the green spaces of Horsforth Hall Park. A selection of traditional British recipes are served, led by a popular carvery-style range of roast dinners.

You're guaranteed a great British classic at Toby Carvery, the self-professed ‘home of the roast’. Choose from juicy, slow-cooked meats (including lamb every Sunday), seasonal vegetables and hand-ruffled potatoes - with each one checked to make sure it's gorgeously crispy.

Toby Carvery has a great range of vegan and vegetarian options to suit the whole family, with vegetables on the carvery deck served with a vegan glaze - no need to wait for new vegetables! All-you-can-eat breakfast is served daily and their extensive drinks range includes soft drinks, refillable Pepsi Max, beers, ciders and a wine list to pair with the perfect roast.

Also serving dedicated menus for kids, Toby Carvery Horsforth is a 5-minute drive from Horsforth Rail Station.

Booked a table for 4 at 18.15. Received phone call at approximately 5pm informing me they had run out of beef! Arrived at 18.15, shown to table, went to Carvery. Stuffing burnt stuck to dish would have to wait 10minutes for next batch, proceeded to gravy table, no gravy! After some delay ate our main courses. Waitress came to take order for desserts, asked for sponge pudding, no sponge pudding! Not a very satifactory visit, we were planning to book for a festive family meal but unles we can be sure everything on the menu is available we will visit again soon before we decide.

We're disappointed with the meal. The roast was sliced wafer thin; the parsnips were hard and undercooked and the cauliflower was the same. Had to exchange seats as the one I had was broken.

The food was nice but not much meat from the chef who was carving . Not many people came in after us so everything was just left warming and drying out

The pub/restaurant was very nice. The food was also very good and excellent value for money, except the terrine that one of my friends had as a starter came with a slice of white bread which she had to ask to have toasted. The other three starters, 2 lamb koftas and 1 chicken wings, were all served in small ramekins which were not on a plate and were all placed in front of my wife. The staff offered no greetings or instructions to us at any time as to when and how to collect our carvery meals, they seemed to presume we had dined there before and gave me the impression that they had never eaten in a restaurant themselves and had had no training.

We booked a time and the table was ready as promised. The place is clean and staff very professional and welcoming. Meal was very good value and tasty. We had a group booking of 9 All the meals were on time except for the vegetarian dish which they came up with the wrong dish.unfortunately the person had to wait 20 mins while everyone else was eating. Apparently the staff stated it eas due to a system change. Overall everyone else was happy.

Even though a seasonally hectic time of year we didn't feel rushed. The food was good - as usual - but I still miss the old Toby roasted potatoes. Healthy be blowed I'd like to indulge occasionally!

No complaints really other than the music was not to our taste. We are an older couple and it was like being in a disco, and was way too loud. Yorkshire puddings were sad and flat and looked like they'd been out for ages. The beef was beautiful, so tender and tasty.
