The Toby is and always has been great for families. We don't have one in Bath but were meeting family from London so half way was Reading. There were 11 of us. The youngest just 4 weeks old and the oldest in her 70s so a complete cross section. We had a great server Sandy who was amazing and a real asset to this branch. We al had full and plenty and so inexpensive!

I love a carvery and have been visiting for some years but yesterday I was very disappointed in the quality of the beef. It was very stringy and not as good as it usually is. The lady behind me complained that it was too pink and running with blood so she declined - I on the other hand don't mind this but I struggled to eat the meat. Every thing else was great as usual. Very good quality for the money.

The food wasn't that hot and the gravy was awful. Much to much gravy powder in it. Many people returned their food due to the gravy. Also the waitress was awful so slow and no knowlwdfe
