Set right in the heart of the City, Tirage serves a menu created under the direction of Michelin-starred restaurateur David Moore. Its name refers to the art of extracting wine for the purpose of tasting, and it pairs London’s most extensive range of Champagne & sparkling wine by the glass with a menu of contemporary dishes.
Sophisticated dishes on the Tirage menu include toasted parmesan soldiers with soft-boiled quail eggs, shaved autumn truffle & onion puree; honey-roasted Barbary duck breast served with Champagne-glazed plums & pancakes; and pan-fried line-caught sea bass in an Asian-scented seed crust, with white crab emulsion, broccoli & curry oil.
The menu has been curated in order to complement the Tirage wine menu. All this is served in an elegantly-decorated space, with parquet flooring, exposed brick walls & chic red seating.
Tirage in Bishopsgate is a 4-minute walk from Liverpool Street Tube Station. Aldgate Tube Station is an 8-minute walk away.

High chairs and table aren't very comfortable , not designed for a relaxing meal ! Food is slightly better than okay on the whole ! The fish was overcooked in our opinion . Service is friendly !

The Bookatable offer on the tasting menu was excellent. Every course was excellent and so many flavours. We had the champagne pairing as well which was good value.

Highly recommend. All three courses were excellent. Starting with scallop ceviche and mushroom risotto. Seabass and pork cheek with ribs followed by mango cheesecake and chocolate blueberry gateau. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. Minor critiscism would be the main course portion size was quite small.

We had the 5 course tasting menu offer. Initially not sure if it was a restaurant or bar as all tables high with bar stools. it was also very empty so atmosphere a bit weird. However staff very good and interested in what they were serving (except one staff member). The food was good with some great balances of flavours and textures and introduced me to new foods. However they let themselves down on small detail eg. smear of sauce on main meal had been put out too early and dried up, the raspberry decoration used a bad raspberry. They also repeated ingredients eg curry oil or an orange reduction across several courses so lessened their impact and did nto creat so much vairety. . Silly sloppy details which let down what was otherwise a good meal.

We were a little disappointed when we first walked through the door - we had expected a traditional restaurant setting, not a bar area with tables. It's a relatively small venue specialising in tasting menu with an extensive champagne & wine list. The food was stunning. We all opted for the special 5 course menu, although there were other options available. Two of us asked for our oysters to be exchanged for the starter on the veggie option, that was no problem for them at all. The flavours and quality of each course was faultless, far above our expectations. The service was also very attentive. Overall a very enjoyable evening. Would recommend, but don't expect cozy, intimate. That said, we did notice a smaller area at the rear of the restaurant that may be for private dining? The decor is mainly exposed brick walls and funky pendant lighting, slightly industrial with low lighting. It needs 'something' and feel they could have made more of the space. All seating is high, either bench seating or comfortable bar stools, not usually my favourite but it works here. The music was quite loud when we arrived, but as more diners arrived it was turned down.

Service and food both really excellent. Five course tasting menu really good value plus an impressive wine list.
Music and TV screens were a bit annoying
