Staff are so welcoming and could not have been more attentive. They knew the food and wine really well and gave v helpful detail when we asked questions about a couple of menu items. The chefs clearly love what they do, you can tell from when your plate arrives. Setting is fabulous, food well sourced. The whole experience is just such a treat.

Very nice venue, thoroughly enjoyed our meal and wine. We were celebrating my wife's birthday which was noted and recognized with the petit fours a nice touch.
One little thing I felt could have improved the experience was inclusion of bread and butter on the table.

Not good. Dry tasteless fish finger starter. Main fish in batter over cooked & peas were hard. Expensive wine. Didn’t feel like a restaurant just a cafe. Won’t go back

Enjoyed another great meal here- this time with my daughter and son in law who were impressed too.
We all loved our choices and the service was excellent.

Lovely location and excellent food. For those of us that love fish a menu featuring only fish and vegetarian dishes is lovely and every dish we have tried has been delicious.

The gated entrance is a nuisance (particularly when it's blowing a gale); parking is a pain (particularly when it's blowing a gale); there are no soft furnishings to muffle the noise/chatter of the restaurant; the waitress will invarialbly bring the wrong drinks. Despite these downsides, I will keep returning to this wonderful restaurant. The setting, the food, and the friendly staff make it all worthwhile. The amuse bouche is always delicious, and a nice touch; the crab starter is yummy; and the fish and chips are superb.

The whole meal was of a High standard. My sole was of a high standard. Sole can be variable. The vegetables and potatoes were also very good. The desert was different and good, figs and Stilton. We were planning who we would return with before we had finished the meal.
