An ‘Italian Restaurant of the Year’ winner at the London Food Awards, Theo Randall at the InterContinental brings sublime rustic cuisine to Mayfair, on the edge of Hyde Park.

Marvellous seasonal ingredients are selected to prepare simple but exciting dishes. Delicate antipasti selections include smoked prosciutto with trevisse tardivo, parmesan and aged balsamic. Dynamic main courses can be seen with such dishes as wood roasted guinea fowl stuffed with prosciutto di Parma, mascarpone and thyme roasted on pagnotti bruscetta. Theo Randall at the InterContinental also offers special vegetarian taster menus.

There are light, subtle desserts on offer, such as amalfi lemon tart, as well as a comprehensive wine list. This, along with early suppers and post-theatre menus ensure that Theo Randall at the InterContinental caters for a huge selection of tastes.

With chocolate and pistachio styling and subtle lighting, Theo Randall’s Mayfair restaurant gives diners relaxation and refinement to mix and contrast with their vibrant, colourful Italian fare. The historic London Hyde Park and Green Park are both a 5-minute walk away.

Very disappointed as was so looking forward to going here. The highlight of the evening was meeting Theo

We had a fantastic evening at Theo Randell. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious - we would highly recommend the guinea foul. We especially liked the sommellier who was really good at helping us chose our wine and cared that we enjoyed what we had chosen. Our server himself was brilliant and at the end of the night managed to take us into the kitchen where we met with Chef Theo which was a added bonus to our evening.

my wife and I had a fantastic meal lovely big portions we went on the set menu basis and were so full we could not eat our dessert which is usually my favourite course
and a lovely touch as we were leaving was I have the same surname as Theo and he was busy cooking when he spotted us leaving when he called us into the kitchen to meet him a really classy touch from a very nice man and a fantastic chef will definately go back if we get the chance

A long and boozey bank holiday lunch with outstanding food. Started with Negronis, then a sidecar and finally some red wine. Smoked eel as my starter absolutely devine. Could not have been better. Then Guinea Fowl stuffed with Parma ham. Outstanding. Loved the food as you can tell. The room is nice and grown up (I am 58) and while I love bustle, sometimes it is nice to have elegance and calmness.

We found the reception upon arrival, very pleasant. I was recommended this restaurant, with the comment that, the food was some of the best in london. Food was good, but fell short. Staff were charming but in experienced and need basic teaching. Started with a bottle of sparkling water (4 people), emptied the bottle after filling three and then I had to ask for another bottle. Tried to clear the plates before all my party had finished eating etc. Somelier knowledgable, but both white and red wines then served together. Relaxed, but no atmosphere, with, sadly, only two other tables occupied, which for a Monday may be normal! Won’t be rushing back.

Four of us enjoyed a birthday celebration lunch with the £33 set menu, First class ambience and service, and delicious food (including complimentary bruschetta and foccacia).

All-in-all, excellent value (especially if you don't hit the wine list too hard - £35 per bottle entry price...). Deserves to be better patronised; we will happily go again.

My seafood risotto was so full of fish and flavour, it was delicious. And the lamb too was very tasty. For dessert I chose the flourless chocolate cake, which was sumptuous!

Arrived and lead to a nicely laid table. The restaurant lighting is soft, yet bright enough to allow the menu to be easily read. Ordering was fairly swift, taken by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food was nice enough although we thought not outstanding for this level of restaurant, however we were on a £33 dinner "deal" therefore it was value for money. We had to haggle a little to convince staff that coffee was included in the "deal", but when the bill arrived we had been overcharged, which once pointed out was corrected. This is our second visit but given this experience we may not go back for a third visit. Finally as with so many restaurants, the noise level increased as the evening progressed.......with many diners using mobile phones......a real nuisense, especially children playing games with the sound on.
