In a beautiful riverside location on the banks of the River Severn, The Woodbridge is a traditional British pub and restaurant from award-winning pub group, Brunning & Price. Refined gastro-pub dining partners a sophisticated drinks stock, and enjoys a tranquil, secluded setting in Telford.

Tasty contemporary offerings on The Woodbridge Inn menu range from seared wood pigeon and black pudding, with roast mushroom and a game reduction, to fragrant lemongrass and chilli sea bass fillets with a Thai coconut broth. Refined takes on British pub classics include Buttercross Farm pork and Wrekin Blue cheese sausages, and a steak and ale pie with horseradish mash.

Dating back to 1785, The Woodbridge Inn in Telford features rustic open fires and leather recliners alongside an elegant and contemporary dining room, flooded with sunlight by handsome French doors. An al fresco patio area is umbrella-covered and offers gorgeous views out over the river.

Vintage pub The Woodbridge Inn is in the scenic village of Coalport, and sits next to the equally historic Coalport Bridge.

We had the Charcuterie between 3 of us it could almost have been a meal in itself, then I had the steak and ale pie, I thought it was going to a portion of pie,but nooo!
it was a whole pie and was superb, actually It is one of the few times I have been defeated by the size, Just managed to eat a small sweet, then finished off with coffee.Th whole meal was wxcellent

Mixed experience. Beautiful riverside setting and the pub is decorated to a high standard. Customer service ok however being told to help yourself to menus and not being taken to our table was not a great first impression. Lots of choice on the menu albeit quite expensive compared to other gastro pubs in the local area. I opted for fish and chips at £12.95. Fish was nice but the chips were frozen and not proper hand cut which is standard in most gastro pubs today. Kids menu also expensive (£5.95 for pasta with tomato sauce) although I'm told it was tasty.
Overall a little underwhelmed by our experience but with a few improvements to seating diners and explaining the menu plus modifying prices to more reasonable levels this pub would be a great choice.
