Is this now the worst restaurant in Kent ! We eat there on the evening of 17 July . Only one draught beer available . My wife and i chose Chateau Breaund, i asked 2 staff members if it ok if had mine blue & my wife medium rare we were assured by both this was no problem . Well when the food came it looked grey had not been sealed or sliced just two chunks of very sorry looking meat & was as tough as shoe leather with a lot of sinew running through it which made it impossible to cut , had no flavour . I complained & was told the problem was that i wanted mine blue & my wife medium rare . I am not sure if the cook [ i use this term only because he was in the kitchen & not for his skill levels ] had any idea how to prepare a good steak ! The front of house were very off hand to the extent of rudness & gave the impression it was our fault . We were offered a small discount which in no way covered our poor experience . I wanted to pay the full price & enjoy our meal this DID NOT HAPEN !

Delicious food. Nice atmosphere. Portions rather small. Quite expensive.

A fabulous meal. Service was great. Menu options varied and tasted perfect. Staff were attentive but not intrusive I would recommend this restaurant

Lovely traditional pub inside and good contemporary seating outside. Service very good and food of good quality and presentation. Prices are definitely at least mid-range upwards. My only suggestion for improvement would be that whilst the meals where just right for me, I think my partner or anyone with a man-size appetite would need to order a few sides. The main course was presented very fashionably but that meant the portions were rather artistic rather than wholesome. However, as I said - for me it was fine until the sweet arrived. I dined with my elderly Mother who has a very tiny appetite and never manages a whole meal but when the gypsy tart arrived we were both quite shocked - it was a slither of a finger and even my mum commented on it.

Couldn't really fault the windmill. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic, especially the passion fruit soufflé and the beer was good, served as a real ale should be. Will be coming back again!

We chose the express lunch of which we had two courses. Leek and potato soup with chicken and fish pie. Both were absolutely delicious. Top class!
Love cosy pub and we were given a very warm welcome.
