Surrounded by a host of beauty spots, traditional country inn The Windhover resides in the rural Northamptonshire landscape. A vast beer garden is framed by the pub’s cream and olive exterior, while inside, scattered candles, an open hearth and traditional trinkets are littered throughout the dining room.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Windhover menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while the ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
Brixworth Country Park is a 3-minute drive from The Windhover in Chapel Brampton, along with Pitsford Water reservoir.

Lovely lunch. Just the right choices for two generations. Sadly no ice available for drinks on this hot day, but this didn't spoil the lunch. Have been for lunch several times before. Would go back again and would recommend to other people.

Very good food every time I have eaten here. Staff friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend this resturant.

The table was ready on arrival and included a high hair as requested. We were offered drinks very quickly and our food order was taken soon after. Service was friendly and efficient. The music being played from a speaker right over our table wasn't too loud and the music okay for a Sunday family lunch I.e. Middle of the road. The starters were delicious but the main course arrived before our plates had been cleared and it was returned to the kitchen. When the mains arrived the food was tepid, despite the plates being hot. Disappointing. The portions were okay (although the "endless supply of gravy " never materialised) and tasty. Bill for 4 plus one infant came to over £100 for 3 courses plus (mostly) non alcoholic drinks. We will probably return as this is a family friendly gastropub in a nice location.

Ordered food 8pm - starters didn't arrive for 45 mins, then we had to wait a further hour for main course, we had to ask waitress several times where food was, food tasty but service apalling

Very lovely - seems much improved to my last visit. Took family for a Sunday lunch. Very nice atmosphere and food was exceptional - even for a roast. Polite staff also.
