The food was fantastic and staff were lovely. The only small issue we had that 3 of us had received our meals and one was left waiting for hers but the meal was already getting cold. It was awkward to eat whilst she was waiting. The same lady also only got a small portion of cheese cake as they had run out. Money was knocked off for this. But we felt bad as it was a birthday treat for her. Otherwise everything else was perfect and the place is beautiful

There were four of us for dinner. We had starters, mains and puddings and all were really lovely.

We like the restaurant because of its decor and ambience. On this occasion the food was not the best though. We both ordered the Garden Burger. The brioche didn’t seem entirely fresh and the filling was disappointing. Overall options for vegetarians are very limited.

Even though i had booked some weeks ahead and we had drinks in the garden beforehand, a table had not been laid for us when our reservation time arrived. Half the meals were not being provided as the oven had broken. This left a very limited menu and though the starter was very nice, the remaining options for main course left me with little else to choose than the spatchcock chicken, with which I was disappointed. There also seemed some confusion regarding the ice cream flavours that were available for dessert. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit, even so, this second visit was not a patch on our first and as so, The Willow Tree may well not spring to mind as a first choice in the future.

Helpful staff and accommodating for two under fives! Thank you! Food generally fine but crab salad (2 of us) disappointing.. crab was broken up and mixed into the salad leaves so taste and texture was lost. However sticky toffee pudding was a great success!

A bit disappointing compared to previous visits a while ago. Nice ambiance and very friendly staff but a bit disorganised - what was on the newly printed menu didn't seem to relate to what the kitchen was actually serving. Limited and unimaginative choice for vegetarians. Food was mostly OK-ish though the roast potatoes were grossly overcooked and rock hard, and nothing seemed fresh; everything gave the impression of being pre-prepared and reheated. For the price I'd expect better.

Food wasn’t quite up to the standards we’ve experienced when visiting before and the service was a bit slow. The staff were lovely and friendly though
