She have eaten at The Wilderbeast before it is consistently good. The food is imaginative and beautifully cooked. Ingredients top class and there is always a good choice and the vegetarian food is great. Service is friendly and efficient.

We don't believe the food at the Wildebeest has been as good in recent months as we could previously expect. We both had to have second choices for starter as the scallops we had chosen were not available and our second choice dishes were distinctly average. We came once when the kitchen had been cooking dishes to photograph for advertising on that day and our food was poor - it seemed more important to them to cook for the photos than please customers. On the plus side the wine is very good and the waiting staff are very pleasant but it's the food you go to a restaurant for. They have strong competition from Stoke Mill close by and at present I would be recommending them if asked for a local restaurant.

My second time at the Wildebeest and I wasn’t disappointed, well worth the return visit. My wife had booked it as s birthday treat and it certainly was.
The restaurant itself is a beautiful building, tastefully furnished with suitable ambient lighting. The staff are welcoming, polite and friendly and at no time do you feel rushed or pressurised.

As for the food itself, we chose to have the Taste of Norfolk, which was superb from start to finish. The flavour of some of the dishes was just exquisite.
My wife is allergic to both salmon and strawberries, (which were on the menu), the scallop and soufflé replacements were faultless.
We both particularly enjoyed the lamb ballontine with crispy shallots, but I think the other courses came a very close second.
Admittedly, it is not a cheap night out, but it is one I would definitely recommend to people. One of the best meals I have ever had.

Modern British menu and nice touches of flavoured butters and bread to start.
Can not fault the food and menu. Service however didn’t feel particularly customer focused. Although there were 4 waiting staff, quite young, we sat for longer than we expected watching three of them chat behind the bar, sometimes with their backs to the guests. Not sure there was a restaurant manager on site. Staff weren’t as attentive as usual. guests are paying for good food and service.
