We went to the Wildebeest to meet friends for lunch. The restaurant was very busy but all the same the staff were very attentive. Three of us had the roast beef for our main course and the other member of our party had the vegetarian option. The service was very good and the staff made us feel very welcome.

Really enjoyed the meal, all courses well presented and really tasty. Service excellent, needed one meal gluten free and this was sorted well via the waiting staff.

Superb food. Much needed treat after travelling down from Lancashire to visit father-in-law in hospital. Pigeon breast starter, possibly the best cooked and served pigeon I have ever eaten.

Delicious food (salmon starter & pork main) and attentive yet unobtrusive staff. Home made bread and petit fours with coffee made lunch feel very special. We sat eating and chatting for three hours so the chairs were obviously really comfy too.My only criticism was that I had no room for pudding.

Excellent food and friendly service. Flavour combinations were impressive for each course, especially the honeycomb parfait with raspberry sorbet.
The food here is consistently good.

We had an amazing 3 course lunch the food was to die for I started with Beef Carpaccio the beef melted in your mouth, for main I had cod & smoked chowder it was divine and for dessert honeycomb parfait I’m not a big dessert eater but this tasted amazing ! The food was very well presented on the plate and tasted even better. The waitress was lovely very friendly & chatting & passed on her recommendations. We will be back very soon !!!
