We had the "lunch de jour" plus a few extras which we thoroughly enjoyed. The service was very friendly and perfectly timed. As we are local, we shall certainly come again.

Food was very good. A bit underwelmed by my starter of Mackey cured in citrus. Meat cooked perfectly and pudding lime and passion fruit panda Cora was lovely. Service was great and my husband was offered more jus for his mains. Have been here a lot over many years and apart from starter was as good as I expected.

Interesting and varied menu, which is regularly refreshed. Fish with quinoa excellent, as was my wife's sirloin roast. Service efficient , but unhurried. Staff all extremely polite and welcoming.
I know I'm in a small minority (unique?) here, but I always find it strange that I'm asked what I want to drink before I've decided what I want to eat. I see drink as complementing the food eg. I wouldn't want a 'hoppy' beer with a cheese mouse starter!

The restaurant was quietly busy, several diners but well spaced out and there was a nice ambience to the place.
Service was excellent, attentive and welcoming.

    Great nibbles.

The NZ Sav blanc was very good and available by the glass as are most of the wines.

The starters - Scallops & Duck with fois gras were very good, a promising start to the evening.

The mains - Stone Bass and Halibut were less successful, there was nothing wrong with the dishes they just didn't have any wow factor, the fish in both cases was bland and uninspiring.

The chocolate Delice was an enjoyable dessert, nicely balanced flavours.

We wouldn't rush back, three courses with one glass of wine each came in at £105 - £45 pp for food.
