A contemporary gastro pub set in the historical village of Shenley, just on the outskirts of London, The White Horse – Radlett serves modern British cuisine with a hint of Mediterranean influence. With wooden ceiling beams, rustic furniture, and open log fires, it is a fine warm, country-style retreat to enjoy a pint of lager or a homemade Sunday roast.
With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The White Horse – Radlett menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.
The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The White Horse - Radlett bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.
The White Horse – Radlett in Hertfordshire is a 7-minute drive from Radlett Railway Station.

Everything was lovely - one criticism was that the double cooked chips were uncooked inside. However we were quickly offered regular fries which were brought immediately. Well done.

Good food but inexperienced service. The staff were pre occupied with arranging a future promotional display.

Roast Beef Lunch is excellent

Both my Husband and I ordered the 'Roast' when presented looked very 'tired', the dish looked as if it had been sitting under heat lamps for a period.
Both dishes were changed by the manager, however the replacement was not much better than its predecessor. We were both hungry and finished our meal and left not really wanting to return..

We went for Sunday lunch and it was good food but not really good. The service is high level though - we had to ask for a bottle of wine to be returned and there was no fuss. Definite recommend for the money - a good experience.
