We ate here a fortnight ago and all was very nice indeed. This time things were not all wonderful. It was a cold night and it was very cold in the restaurant, we had to put our coats back on. My wife ordered soup. No soup spoon had to chase someone to bring us one. She ordered steak which was over cooked and had a great deal of sinew in it. She could not eat it all. Her vegetables were cold. I'm not one of life's whingers but thought you would like to know.

Inconsistent service, food potions have got smaller , presentation of food is awful and on plates that are to awkward to eat from. Waiting staff could smile a bit more, & not stocking soya milk meant I couldn’t have a hot drink after dinner! I find this very old hat. Front of house seated us quickly and were very welcoming. Drinks from the bar were slow.

Nice restaurant, good location on the edge of the green. However my group of 7 waited over zn hour for the meals to be served and the restaurant was not busy that day.Apparently due to lack of staff in kitchen and an inspection going on that day. I would have been good if someone had told us there would be a delay. I enjoyed my meal when it eventually came.

The layout and atmosphere were exceptional and the menu comprehensive with a range of vegan items which were very tasty for two of our guests. The only negative was the car parking which was not adequate during peak times
