Restaurant description

With a leafy outdoor dining area, and a cosy bar & restaurant, The White Hart – Brasted is a refurbished country-style pub serving a selection of contemporary British dishes. Inside, the décor is a fusion of modern and rustic design, with wooden beams on the ceiling, cowhide rugs, crushed-velvet barstools, leather armchairs and open fireplaces.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The White Hart menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at the The White Hart bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and eclectic sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

The White Hart - Brasted in Kent is just a 9-minute drive from Seven Oaks Rail Station.

Generally a really good meal with a very pleasant waitress, Holly. However our only criticism was that they forgot to add our bar drinks to the bill and when we pointed it out and went to pay , ( almost £10.00), there was no gratitude or acknowledgement from the bar staff which was rather disappointing.

We have had lunch here on several occasions and always enjoyed. This time was the exception. We suffered sloppy service, lack of availability on menu items, dirty crockery and food so burnt as to be inedible. The general feeling is that the service was very much below par compared to previous visits. Staff were not as available as previously and given all the issues this was a problem. We did wonder if perhaps because of Christmas coming there were a lot of temporary staff which might go some way to explaining this. As a group, we meet up every couple of months and your pub has been ideal. I regret to tell you we are now looking for an alternative.

Very disappointing meal. Tough meat, Luke warm food and the worst cauliflower cheese, at extra charge, that I have ever been served.

I amended my booking so that I could take my dog. We therefore are in the bar (same menu) rather than the restaurant. Food was delicious and staff were friendly. Music played didn’t fit the older demographic and the toilets etc are in desperate need of an overhaul.

I had salmon, asparagus & poached eg with Hollandaise sauce. it was very good when it eventually came. I followed this with a sharer platter, also good.

I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was excellent especially, the roast beef and the sea bass. The service was great and the staff very polite and efficient. The beauty of our visit was to be able to sit In the beautiful garden and take in the whole atmosphere. We all had a lovely afternoon
