Filled with Victorian charm and original décor, The Washington Hampstead is a 19th-century London pub that pairs up gourmet recipes with a great selection of cask ales and craft beers. The comfy furnishings make it a great spot to enjoy a Sunday roast, and there are popular quiz nights that have a loyal following.
All kinds of international recipes feature on the Washington Hampstead menu, alongside traditional pub classics. From the bar, there are light bites perfect for sharing, such as braised brisket cubes with buffalo sauce, and pea, feta and mint arancini balls. Mouthwatering mains include roasted Shropshire half chicken with parmesan and rosemary fries, as well as popular British favourites like fish and chips, and pork, leek and Welsh rarebit sausages with mash and red wine jus. There are well stacked burgers, and wholesome vegetarian options like the quinoa and heritage carrot salad with omega seeds.
Indulgent desserts at The Washington in Hampstead feature recipes like rich chocolate brownie with vanilla bean ice cream, and salted caramel profiteroles. There are craft beers like IPAs and stouts on tap, as well as carefully selected cask ales.
A great example of a traditionally styled British pub, The Washington in London sits 13 minutes' walk from Chalk Farm Tube Station.

There is very little to fault this pub. The staff are friendly and welcoming, it is a proper pub. Food is good and consistent, and it is always clean and tidy.
