As usual, wonderful staff and incredible food. We had a lovely early 3 course Valentine lunch. The Vineyard is my favourite local restaurant.

This is the third time I have been to The Vineyard and second time for lunch and it never fails to impress me. We had a lovely table for lunch and went for the winter lunch offer which was a glass of champagne, 2 courses, wine, coffee and petit fours to finish. You could also upgrade to the 3 courses for just an extra £4 which of course we did :) My starter of Loch Duart salmon tartar, cucumber and English wasabi, dill was light and fresh (its a cold starter but nothing to be put of there), my main course of sea bream, cauliflower, curry and coconut would not have been my first choice but to my surprise was superb, so tasty left me wanting more and to finish off I had the chocolate fondant, it could be a little more exciting if I'm being overly critical but it was still very tasty and the plates were all left clean. What matters just as much as the food to me is the service which didn't go unnoticed. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and always will to give suggestions or even try their hardest to provide and alternative. I'll definitely be return without a shadow of a doubt. I'm still puzzled to why they don't have a Michelin Star???

My husband and I dined at the Vineyard yesterday and wish to praise our waitress for excellent service. (Unfortunately I don't have a name but she was from Portugal and had only been there for a week.)
The winter food menu was excellent value, nicely prepared and each course was very tasty.

The Vineyard is an old favourite of ours and we visited last Friday 19 January to enjoy their special lunch offer. As always it represented excellent value with a glass oTattinger Champagne plus canapés on arrival , an excellent two course lunch plus wine pairings, cofffe and petit fours. Super friendly service in excellent surroundings.

Excellent service and attention to detail throughout. Difficult to decide on what to order as they all sounded sublime as indeed they were. Langouistine raviolo as well as the octopus starter and venison and the veal main courses were delicious. Desserts of gingerbread and apple and the grapefruit with green tea were amazing.

Our favourite place to eat! Love the decor (a wonderful bespoke sideboard built to fit the curve of the stairs - stunning!) the staff are always smiling, helpful, never intrusive. Menu varied and tantalising. Food glorious! Occasionally we have asked to substitute dishes on a fixed menu, and they have gone out of their way to help, always providing something equally as good as an alternative.

Four of us decided to enjoy lunch together after Christmas (28th December) The menu was good and well priced for three course lunch. We all enjoyed each course although did ask for vegetables to accompany our main course as we had eaten there before and knew it did really need the veg. The home made breads were excellent as was our waiter Vasilis. He was attentive but not intrusive, amusing and obviously enjoyed his job. The desserts were also great my fiend licked her plate (naughty girl) but then she was a star baker on GBBO. If there was any criticism the main courses could have been a bit hotter. It wasn't enough to complain about.

The whole experience was very good, the service was excellent. I found the dessert choices quite limited, it would have been nice to have something a little plainer as one of the choices.
