Restaurant description
Since 1851, The Travellers Rest near Dunstable has been offering well-loved British refreshments to its guests, and it continues to do so in a stunning rural location, close to the River Ouzel. With classic whitewashed walls, exposed beams and brickwork, and rustic decorations, The Travellers Rest is a pastoral haven, with seating by the cosy fireplace and in the pretty beer garden.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Travellers Rest menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Travellers Rest ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings at this Edlesborough venue include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
While in a remote and tranquil destination, The Travellers Rest is just 7 minutes’ driving to Dunstable.

Our meals were really nice as always, although prices were a little high for mains especially the fish dishes. My husband ordered the fish goujons but was only given one which I thought looked very sparse on the plate! I would also like to add I really think you should upgrade your chairs to sit on,they were extremely old, worn, uncomfortable and very highly stained which they were the last time I mentioned this on my last feedback, not very nice to sit on when wearing something other than overalls!!

The service was wonderful nice and friendly staff, the food came at a very good space to allow us a break between starters and main dish as well as the pudding. So I would recommend this to anyone.
