Great decor. Good fish and chips too - food is great with a bit of a twist but too much to disappoint traditionalists

The Tokenhouse brings eclectic gastropub dishes with contemporary influences to the heart of London’s Square Mile. Guests can enjoy a drink at the library or a freshly-shaken cocktail in the spacious bar. The bustling open kitchen in the private area helps diners watch the chefs in action.

A Fullers pub, the food is a blend of the classic and modern with dishes like lamb and apricot rolls, rare breed pork belly and langoustine risotto with crispy baby squid. The Tokenhouse dessert menu includes strawberry parfait with hazelnut tuile and clotted cream ice cream, and sticky toffee pudding.

Light bights, salads and sandwiches are available at lunchtime, and the charcuterie, antipasti and starter tasting plates are perfect for sharing. The Tokenhouse in Moorgate is also open for breakfast from Tuesday to Friday morning.

Showcasing a distinctive industrial interior, The Tokenhouse bar is less than a 5-minute walk from the Bank and Moorgate Tube Stations.

Great service and great food in a buzzy environment. Dining area quieter and very comfortable and cosy

Music was too loud and wouldn't be turned down (despite asking manager)

Unfortunately it was a disaster. I booked the table for six of us in my team for a Christmas lunch, we already had a copy of the menu. When we arrived we were told that we could only have the a la carte menu. It was most disappointing, although the food we had tastes great, we were expecting to be having turkey with all the trimmings.

Such a nice pub, lovely staff and the grub is good. Good service even on a busy Friday night.

Excellent food, excellent service. One of the best value lunch spots in the City.

The restaurant is, for us at least, on a Friday really about getting together with friends, having a seat and enjoying the great beer and wine selection.

We had the 'house platter' which was great as bar meal on the side.
