Restaurant description
Formerly a charming farmhouse, The Three Legged Cross near Wimborne is a traditional British country pub and serves well-loved pub cuisine. Near to the local beauty spots of Moors River and Ringwood Forest, the al fresco garden enjoys views of the surrounding countryside. With a thatched roof, warming fireplace and exposed beams, the farmhouse style remains at The Three Legged Cross.
Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Three Legged Cross menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Three Legged Cross ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.
Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.
In the beautiful Dorset countryside, The Three Legged Cross is just 14 minutes’ drive from Wimborne.

Really great experience for my husband and I and my sister who lives in Bournemouth. The welcome was good and all the COVID-19 precautions were in place so we felt very safe. The Inn itself is beautiful and the food was very good and the service was excellent so no complaints at. Well done Three Legged Cross we will return when in your area again.

We were a party of five and had a round table which is always good when there's an odd number. Food was good, gammon steak was a good size and nice and thick, triple good chips were lovely and 2 eggs. 2 had burger which they did say was a little bit dry. Waiting girls were very lovely and pleasant.

Had Sunday roast - very nice, but crackling with the pork would have been nice! Service good, although the restaurant was very busy. Our waitress was friendly, efficient and helpful.

We booked a table for ten to celebrate my Mother's 88th. Everyone was happy with their food and an excellent, cheery waitress service. We will return whenever we visit down that way.
