The Tea Lounge at St Ermin's is a timelessly chic setting for luxury afternoon teas. An eclectic range of teas is on offer including classic, children’s and gluten-free options.

The St Ermin’s afternoon tea includes a range of teas alongside sweet and savoury delicacies. Amongst the luxurious sandwiches are smoked salmon and caviar, salt beef and horseradish, and cucumber and cream cheese. Follow this with a choice of freshly baked scones including triple chocolate and gingerbread, all topped off by delectable treats such as chocolate tiffin, peanut butter macaron, and orange posset.

St Ermin’s hotel in London is a fittingly elegant and extravagant location for such indulgence. With ornately textured ceilings, plush seating and traditional wooden furnishings, the Tea Lounge exudes sophistication.

Entered through a tree-lined courtyard, St Ermin’s in Westminster is a 2-minute walk from St James’s Park Tube Station, and a tranquil hideaway a short walk from many major landmarks.

A lovely hotel tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Fantastic afternoon tea. Staff were attentive and even catered for a last minute dietary requirement without fuss. Bottomless bubbles were free flowing! We had a really pleasant, enjoyable afternoon.

A hidden gem! The decor is beautiful and service exceptional! The sandwiches and scones are by far the best I have had during a afternoon tea in London.

Hotel was lovely. Food was very good, sandwiches maybe just a little dry for me,but loved the fillings and cakes and sweets were very good. Unlimited Prosecco was excellent. Waiting staff were first class. Couldn't do enough for us. Really loved the experience and would definitely go again and recommend to all. One of us was gluten free and had a really excellent selection of food.

Been couple of times before for afternoon tea and service/food was faultless in beautiful surroundings. However this visit was disappointing. Booked a balcony table only to be told a table was available on the "outside balcony" - misunderstanding. However a table on the inside balcony was soon prepared and we settled down. Tea menu arrived which could not be read due to the minute print on a dark background. We already knew what we wanted anyway. Tea arrived and was left on table with no timer and had to pour out ourselves. Afternoon tea was brought, explanation of each item was given and that was it - no menu given. Menu for both tea and afternoon tea should have been given on arrival. Food well presented. Sandwiches very nice but to be honest the desserts were much of a muchness, all very sweet and hard to tell one from another. Had to ask three times for a top up of tea, there appeared to be only one member of staff running about serving prosecco. Original waiter did apologise for the wait having been told we were still waiting for our tea to arrive. On the whole service very poor. On paying the bill I was informed there was a staff shortage, it was Christmas and they were very, very, busy. This is no excuse, if there was a staff shortage then bookings should not have been taken for so many and obviously this affected what should have been a pleasant experience. We have only ever been just before Christmas and not experienced this lack service. The young lady who was dashing about did very well, other staff seemed to just disappear. They may well have been working in the kitchen or downstairs. However this is not the service we expect to receive.
Rating is on this experience only. Previous experience would have been 5*****

I was really excited to take my out of town family to the Tea Lounge at St. Ermin, but was bitterly disappointed. We were seated in a "room" on the other side of the actual tea lounge that was dingy and more of a hallway between the elevator and the staircase. The tea selection was decent, but the savoury and sweet snacks were lacking. Half of the sandwiches lacked correct flavour profiles, and the sweet snacks melted in the hallway as we ate. The service was nice, but overall very disappointed with the experience.
