We had an afternoon tea and it was great.
The stuff was welcoming and so kind, they were so patient.
The cakes are delicious, specially the chocolate cake.

In a setting adorned with huge chandeliers, antique furniture and decorative tea canisters full of rare international teas and unique house blends, the tea house crafts indulgences like homemade artisan scones and cakes.

Quirky alcohol-infused Tipsy Tea cocktails are served, while innovative tea-themed cakes such as green tea cake can be selected as part of the afternoon tea at The Tea Box in Richmond-upon-Thames. Chilled flutes of champagne or the finest freshly-ground Monmouth coffee can be supped at leisure.

The Tea Box only accepts table bookings for the set 3-course menu of afternoon tea with freshly-prepared salmon and cream cheese, and cucumber and cream cheese finger sandwiches, Devonshire scones with clotted cream and jam, a homemade cake and pot of loose leaf tea.

A charming, boutique-style hideaway in Richmond-upon-Thames, The Tea Box also has free WiFi, and is only a stone’s throw from Paradise Road Car Park and Richmond Bus Station. Richmond Tube and Rail Stations are only a 10-minute walk away, and regular free poetry jam sessions start at 8pm.

A place to return to again and again with a welcoming cosy ambience, HUGE selection of teas and cakes and sandwiches, whether for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. With a friendly welcome and relaxed atmosphere, a great place for a nice long chat with your dearest friends and family.

Had a lovely afternoon champagne tea. Quirky tea room, fantastic food (we couldn't finish it all, doggy bag supplied) and nice friendly staff. Huge variety of teas, the White Peony and Rose is delicious. Highly recommend.

Staff were very nice but the tea was pretty basic, nothing special considering the price

It is always a pleasure to go there. The environment and atmosphere are so relaxing you would never stand up and leave. This time a sweet lady who waited our table was more generous than ever in helping us what tea to choose, what best cake combo etc. She was impeccable and professional and so down to earth at the same time. We thank you her!!

Wonderful tea selection however food wise one of the worst afternoon teas I have ever had. Very limited food range. Scones didn't taste like scones. lemon cake was nice but the brownie was very avarage. It wasn't what I expected especially for the price paid.

A very enjoyable afternoon tea. I went there with two friends to discuss putting a hen party together for my cousin for which we are all bridesmaids. We were able to stay after we had almost finished our tea and crack out our laptop to put our plans together without any problems.

The waitress was extremely friendly and helped us in choosing which teas we may enjoy the most.

The amount of food included was just enough so you didn't end up feeling uncomfortably full! They were also able to cater to my dietary requirements of a gluten free products, which were very tasty.

Lovely atmosphere and a very enjoyable afternoon. Not bad value for money, would definitely recommend to give it a go!

From beginning to end the service [@] (the owner) offered was superb. Nothing was too much trouble. On the day of my 60th birthday tea, she was 2 staff down. You would not have known. we were looked after and lacked for nothing. This was even with other customers coming in and needed serving too. I would recommend afternoon tea at the tea box for every day or for special occasions. A lovely place staffed by lovely peole who care about the service they offer.
