Service top class staff all knowledgeable about the food and wine they were serving. We had the 7 course taster which was our kind of food my wife does not do shell fish or crab this was replaced with an equally delicious alternative. Will certainly make the trip again.

A great team led by Claudio with truly amazing food. We did the 5 course taster and will do it again. Loved marmite butter! The an oyster and crab cake to die for. A very clever tomato water to make the dish exciting. The lamb was succulent and amazingly tender. Chinese dessert wine!! Delicious. Michael did the wines to match. A really happy evening. Will return and do for a third time. Thank you.

Since we are not from the area, we made a reservation for dinner here without knowing much about the location and ambiance. What a wonderful experience! We sat on the deck soaking in the incredible view of the Cornish coast. Service was top notch. We started with drinks asking for local beer. It was delicious. We ordered off the bar menu, my husband had spare ribs and I had a vegetarian rissoto, both were incredible! As a “half vegetarian”, i.e. half the time I order vegetarian, I am always looking for a good vegetarian dish. This was not good, it was great! We both finished with dessert, I had the chocolate fondant and my husband had the strawberries wood sorrel. Both excellent! The biggest problem is we live a 10-hour plane ride away. Go to Stargazy Inn,

Very artful but lacking substance. Also description in menu was not full enough. Eg clotted cream, champagne and strawberries. Was actually a panacotta with one sliced strawberry and some champagne foam. Sweet potatoes with the sirloin were the size a needles. A side of fries was need to supplement. Stunning location but service on the slow side. Another table complained because they waited over an hour for their food.

We had come to celebrate a birthday, so being told we’d have to eat in the bar area wasn’t the special experience we were thinking of. However, when we went through the the bar area, we were surprised to see how relaxed and comfortable the bar area was, still enjoying the fabulous views of Tintagel. And the menu was amazing! One of the best restaurants we have had the pleasure to eat in on the North Coast of Cornwall. We will be back - especially as the Cornish afternoon tea needs trying! Very attentive service, and fabulous location.

We had a fabulous meal at the Stagazy Inn, having Andrew Sheridan’s Great British Menu tasting menu and wine flight, with additional pudding and cheese board. Having seen Andrew perform these dishes on the television, it was wonderful to taste them. All were delicious! ‘Top of the Cods’ and ‘Goldfinger’ we’re particularly brilliant. The staff were very attentive, knowledgeable and proud to present these dishes. The wines were exquisite.

Six of us ate recently at the Stargazy inn. Impressive contemporary interior but only one other table of diners so lacked atmosphere Very good service but slightly pretentious with the dish being described by waiting staff Food was average , some dishes enjoyed but others rather underwhelming like the burger dish. My husband was very disappointed with his lamb in which he complained was 2 small pieces , no accompanying potatoes and all for £30
