Bringing AA Rosette-awarded culinary excellence to a rustic, homely setting, The Stables at The Grove are set inside the Grove Hotel’s original stables block. With a cosy restaurant, courtyard with views over the tranquil golf course, and the Stables Bar, this is truly a versatile venue.
From succulent pizzas prepared in the traditional wood-fired oven, to warming winter pies, The Stables at The Grove menu is crammed full of tempting dishes. Rural recipes are given a gourmet makeover, such as steamed venison pudding with crisp shallot rings, or corn-fed chicken breast served with chestnut mousse. From the grill, succulent steaks sit alongside The Stables restaurant signature burger, served with Portobello mushrooms.
The tranquil courtyard at The Stables makes for a picturesque summer venue, while The Stables Bar next door boasts comfy leather couches and games of chess and backgammon to enjoy.
The Stables at The Grove Rickmansworth blends rustic traditional with contemporary culinary flair, with stunning views out across the countryside.

Amazing food and service. Cannot fault a thing!

We had to send both main courses back
My linguine was swimming in a bowl of oil whilst my guests salmon was so dry as to be chewy
We were offered alternatives and these were ok and the trifle for dessert was obviously not made fresh on the day and the custard was a solid blob
But overall not the best of dining experiences

I feel the slots allocated of one hour 45 minutes are not long enough also not advised at time of booking on when e-mail reminder sent,we felt under pressure to eat a 3 course meal in this time. We did not vacate the table until. 20 mins after which wasn't a problem as there had been lots of free tables for 2 throughout the evening.
There was a couple who where the the L shaped leather corner unit literally all over each other they were not asked to stop there were young children in the restaurant.
Apart from the prawn cocktail which had no tast at all the other food we chose was delicious our waiter Omer was lovely although far to many staff mulling around (very rare to see in restaurants these days ) but don't think was necessary as they literally had nothing to do.
Would recommend the Scotch egg, cod, steak all great.

Great environment. Burgers were horrid - overdone and tough, surely a five star hotel can make burgers from fresh mince? Apart from that everything was wonderful.

As always the best staff ever, polite , courteous, professional, they are exceptional.
I do think the coffee and tea costs are over priced.
